YouTube - Oil Spill in Alaska 2010 & 1979 Rachel Maddow
Comparing thespill stopping technicques of 1979 to 2010 same attemtps same technology. Top hat was called Sombrero in 79. Check it out. Rachel Maddow and Cavuto are my two favorite talking heads.

I've seen her interview one of the top RNC communications guys at least twice. Can't pull his name off the top of my head. Tim Phillips, President of Americans For Prosperity, a group that works with Freedom Works (headed by Dick Armey) funding the Tea Party movement, has been on at least twice. Both times I saw the interview. They definitely didn't agree. So I think she's willing to have on whomever is willing to except the invite. I really don' think it's a matter of getting a bunch of liberals that agree with her point of view. |

Re: Guard watches coast for oil slick's first wave
Maybe off topic a bit but I had a geek moment this morning when I saw good old Bill Nye the Science Guy explaining to people on TV about the oil spill and what is currently happening.
Good move on the gov'ts part there. He always could explain complex science in a way that people could understand it. I didn't know he was still on tv. We watched him in school way back in the day....

Re: Guard watches coast for oil slick's first wave
The problem really lies with BP. The gap between them and other oil companies when it comes to safety violations is astounding. I think it's like a 700 violations gap between BP at #1 and Sunoco (with fewer than 10 in the past three years, which is 10 too many of course)
Here's a good read Renegade Refiner: OSHA Says BP Has “Systemic Safety Problem” - The Center for Public Integrity But yeah, I definitely agree that had this been during the last administration there would be a lot of stories about the WH's ties to Big Oil. That's neither here nor there at this point though. They could blame me for all I care, just fix the problem

MMS enforcement could've shut them down but their enforcement efforts are suspect at best, grossly and intentionally negligent at worst.

Re: Guard watches coast for oil slick's first wave
Haven't we heard reports about BP's contributions to Obama?
PolitiFact | BP liked Obama, but oil stained Palin's hands too |
