Colt continues to do himself no favors. Struggling badly again today. Grossman continues to be steady and fully understands this offense it seems. He's got the back-up QB spot locked down

If Shanahan rolls with only 2 QBs, as he has a history of doing, Colt is definitely done. Probably a big question mark even if he keeps 3 QBs.

So is Albert even stretching before these conditioning tests? Even if he wasn't allowed to participate in practice, standing around and watching your teammates stretch is not showing you actually want to join them, or be there at all.

I would guess that the team is keeping him from stretching. Don't know that for sure, but imagine being the only guy on the field not stretching. Seems like more mind games trying to get his pride angered enough to pass the dang test.

I wish we could hear the conversations back and forth and know the real scoop. But that won't come out for a good while. So far the rest of the team seems to be doing a good job of setting aside the distraction. I just hope that continues. (or that he gets on the field and starts practicing).

Doubt the coaches would let him run w/o stretching first. As far as him standing there watching, I'm guessing he's been told to do that. If he can't participate what else should he be doing?

Warmups and stretching are not really being a part of the practice...but you could be right...could be coach's orders to stand there and look dumb for the cameras.

If he's not going to participate what's the point of stretching? To me it would look even more dumb if he was standing there alone, stretching.

I have some very interesting news I have gleaned from redskins.com. This is a comment made from the practice report for today. Smoot, have you heard any parts of this??

NEWS: Hello everyone, just talked to my bro and he told me the coaching staff and the front office had a meeting late last night under the radar and are discussing moving on without Kelly and are exploring the possibility of a trade very soon which involves draft picks and a player....My bro told me that they would not use names in the meeting and just referred to the player as the "targeted guy"......We all know it is VJ, but until they booted out all the PR and office staff im sure they wont name names as not to get the media going........Mcnabb was present at the down low meeting but when my bro asked him if he was there to discuss the VJ trade rumors he smiled and told my bro.....No comment, they just needed his imput on some current players and he is not worried about guys not in a Redskins jersey......Thanks again bro, enjoy ya day off!"

You should check out his other posts. He mentions that his bro mentions that the team has already moved on about Haynesworth and that the media is blowing the situation up. Makes perfect sense to me. He seems credible.

really nice to see that the coaching staff is pushing hard for turnovers. seems like jim hayeslett ( as OBC use to call him) is coaching a greg williams type of defense minus the 4-3, lot's of different coverages, blitzing from everywhere and stressing turnovers.

I think he mentioned Kelly may be cut so that he can latch on to another team.

Another juicy tidbit(fantasy super-sleeper?):

Redskintalk: Austin is already making leaps and bounds in camp, my bro told me the staff is watching alot of Desean Jackson tape in the meeting rooms and are doing alot of the same things in practice that the beagles do with Jackson....He WILL be a big part of the team and from what my bro says he is already being talked about as a weapon this season that could break games open.............Good guess talk!

That would be totally off the wall, truly.

Gonna cut a 20-something year old WR that is still under his rookie deal entering his third year. But only after ONE weekend of practice with a new coaching staff? The first cutdown day is not untill the 31st of August, 4 full weeks away and after a couple of pre-season games.

That just does not add up. Why even ponder trading picks and players only after a couple of practices?
