With what? They have no draft in which to rebuild with, and their are in cap trouble. According to latest cap figures, they were only $5million under the cap back in August 2011.

Re: Coaching Changes

I feel bad for the Raiders. Before Campbell and Run DMC injuries, they seem to have had a pretty decent team. They were really stupid on the Palmer trade and made a stupid owner (Mike Brown) look like a genius. They are pretty f'ed up now though. Still, that f'ed up team managed to get more wins that we did. I know they have no future, but we are really in no position to hold our noses up to any team.

Only because they are in the shitty AFC West. Put them in AFC East or AFC North and they are well below .500

They still won games. Our team has lost a lot of games that we "should've won" over the past couple of seasons. As I said, they have no future and will likely be a 2 or 3 win team over the next couple of seasons. But our team has been pretty mediocre and has made bad decisions over the past couple of seasons. Not horrible ones like that idiotic Palmer trade, but still bad moves.

I get it that the arrow may be pointing slightly up with our organization. But let's not act like we're the Packers or the Patriots, and pretend like we have been a much better organization that then Raiders.

Re: Coaching Changes

I wonder if they can get some value for McFadden? When healthy, that dude is a beast. I am sure a lot of teams could use a player like that.

Re: Coaching Changes

Well many said CINCY was gonna be horrible so u just never know, coaching makes a huge difference but I just don't see it in OAK.

DMAC is never healthy I'd give no more than a 3rd

I think this was based on Dalton's play. I mean if they get a good coach in there, they have some talent. They would just need to get a decent o-line to protect Palmer. I think Oakland's defense is pretty good, but if they blow up the team that may be a different story.

Re: Coaching Changes

The raiders...the biggest headscratchers of a franchise. Just when things were looking good. They decide to rebuild. I thought Al Davis was dead.

Flaky Raiders are flaky.

Re: Coaching Changes

Pat Jones former Raiders assistant now a radio personality in OKC knows the team very well and was close to Al Davis up until he passed, he called this firing the day McKenzie was hired and he seems to think Oakland will completely clean house and hire Winston Moss right after the playoffs and could possibly go after Matt Flynn . Crazy stuff.

How many QBs do the raiders need?
