Glad to see both Tryon and Jarmon doing well in training camp.

Re: Training Camp Updates:
Agreed. They're saying some good things about Rinehart, too.

Re: Training Camp Updates:
Getting a lot of first team reps, which is probably more so a bad sign about Randy Thomas' status. At some point though guys like Rinehart have to get out there and play. And we (the Redskins that is, not really the fans) have to trust they made a good decision in drafting/signing these guys and put them out there.

Re: Training Camp Updates:
I'm still a bit skeptical on Tryon. I mean I know that since the spring they've been pretty high on his progress vs. last year. But we saw similar buzz with Leigh Torrence last year.
Still, I'm glad to see he's doing well

Re: Training Camp Updates:
Devin Thomas Limps Off (Updated)
Devin Thomas came up limping after catching a pass from Colt Brennan. Thomas went to the trainers' tent and emerged limping noticeably with his right leg wrapped. Doesn't look good. Can't tell if it's his calf or knee, but my immediate reaction, based solely on his gait is that we won't see him on the field for a couple of days. Malcolm Kelly is practicing and looks fine. He appears to be getting a few more reps. Of course, he wasn't hurt; he was just getting the afternoons off as a precaution. After practice ended at 10:26, Jim Zorn met with reporters and indicated that Thomas' hammy is not pulled. The team is just being cautious with him and wants to make sure nothing gets aggravated. Zorn added that Santana Moss slightly tweaked his hamstring and had ice on it after practice.

Re: Training Camp Updates:
Given the state of our Line, Rinehart's stepping up would not just be huge, but incredible. He was a third round pick, and needs to show now that he can play in this league. Otherwise, it was a wasted third round pick. We need Rinehart perhaps more this year than any.

Re: Training Camp Updates:
I cannot believe how badly Fred Smoot is getting beat at this training camp. Did he steal something from Moss or ARE this offseason?
It's a shame because he is one of my current fav's. He looks like he is on the downside of his career right now. Is there anything he can hope to salvage at this point? |

Re: Training Camp Updates:
I love reading that Justin Tryon is stepping up and looking good. If Tryon, Reinhart, Thomas, Kelly and Davis are all able to contribute on the field maybe a few people in this forum and around the league owe Vinny an apology.
Horton is a consensus steal already. |
