Re: Redskins vs Ravens Gameday thread

Horrible performance!

The offense looks and reminds me of this same game last year. Notta! Bright points MK & DT getting some action and looked ok. Fred Davis looked like shit, not sure where all the TE hype has been coming from, but this kid better learn to hold on to the football or he will be watching from the sidelines a lot. Running game weak.

Defense poor, learn how to tackle, pitiful. Orakpo the REAL DEAL!

TYRON still SUCKS and should be CUT! Will NOT make it in this league!

QB, yea it's early but I'm still not convinced we have one.

But the good news. No injuries to mention, of any importance. This team has a lot of work to do to get prepared for the giants for the regular season opener.

Fred Davis is a joke. Drafting a TE from USC is typical Cerrato stupidity. In the Pac10, the weak sisters they play can't cover their WR so of course a TE will be wide open in the end zone. Vinny drinks all that west coast kool aid. The reality is that the Pac 10 is perenially the weakest major division 1 college football. Fire Cerrato now.

Yeah. USC has been doing it with smoke and mirrors for years.

I love the passion but seriously...

I'd like to see Pete Carrol go play Florida every year at nuetral site. Or go into Baton Rouge every other year. They'd be one more team.

Re: Redskins vs Ravens Gameday thread

Like I said before, MKelly's catching was a great thing to see...

Rak was good rushing, looked lost in coverage...

Jarmon looked good as well shedding blocks while keeping eye on QB...

I'm telling you, Dixon looked DAMN good at DT too... that really surprised me... he was in the backfield 3-4 plays.

... but I agree with others... why is Orakpo, a guy who didn't play LB in college our STARTING OLB? I mean, I'm sure eventually he could be good there, but he is a pass-rusher in the mold of a Freeney, Tuck, Ware, not a guy who should be covering Todd Heap!

I don't know how we could keep him but after tonight I would hate to let him go.

Re: Redskins vs Ravens Gameday thread

yeah... Dixon will be practice squad probably... which sucks... who he have to beat out? Golston?

We have Griffin, Haynesworth, Montgomery, Golston at DT... as the 4 that stay?

Because who else do we have that can play OLB for us? In other words, Daniels is one hell of a run-stopping defensive end and Orakpo is not. Orakpo is being groomed to play DE, hopefully better than Daniels in passing situations. But right now it makes sense, they couldn't afford to keep Washington and get a DE, so they tried to get both DE and OLB at once. Smart idea.

Re: Redskins vs Ravens Gameday thread

so as I mentioned our same recurring questions are still just that

not sure why anybody thought that they'd miraculously fix themselves

I'd argue that our OL could be WORSE than last year's

I'm not doom and gloom and yes it's just the preseason, but jesus... lopsided play like that should NOT encourage you in the least

Zorn's a ****ing liar! "All Four QBs will get to play tonight" Really, really? Funny I don't remember seeing Chase Daniel getting his chance!!!

Anyhoo...pleased with Jarmon (very pleased, thank you Renaldo but coach needs to see you..and bring your playbook)

Rinehart has vastly improved...Tryon not so much

Will Montgomery at C and Edwin Williams at RG was interesting. Thought EW might actually get some reps on the left side
