Yeah, but unless you've already got an agreement in place, JC's trade value takes a big hit. If there already is an agreement why not go ahead and make the announcement?

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!

I'll admit McNabb is better then JC at reading defenses but otherwise he's a lateral move. He and JC are about equal in stats and McNabb had a better OL. I'll always take the younger guy.

Make a trade Shanny and move up to #1 for Bradford.

Now that we don't need a QB I'm going to just start addressing Bradford as Alex Smith.

Hey you told us that we weren't trading for McNabb. I feel like I don't even know you anymore, even though technically I don't know you, but I feel like......hey bumper cars.

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!

It's almost a given that we're going to draft a QB at some point. But there's no question they are assembling a win now team.

It may be new management, but the goal has remained the same. I concur with the idea we might move Cooley and Campbell soon.

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!

Stupid, stupid, stupid. McNabb doesn't necessarily make us a contender automatically. He couldn't get the job done last season with a superior WR corp than we have. We needed that #37 pick to shore up the line or get a possible new franchise QB. It is a gutsy move and I like it, but I don't think Donovan is such a head and shoulders imrprovement over JC since our team is inferior to Philly in many depts.

I understand the sentiment about the line, but the best rate of 2nd round QB's is astounding compared to their first round counterparts. Of course this is the deepest QB draft to come along in a while but still.

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!

I wondered what it was like to be a Vikings fan and bring in Favre. Now I know better.

Yeah but how many top rookie QBs have lived up to the hype coming out? Why take a chance when you can get a guy who you know is good?

I am with you. That is why I say draft a QB that didn't garner much hype. THose guys are the ones that pan out. I guess it will be Mallet in 2011.

I'm still in a bit of shock over this. I really didn't see this coming at all.

No kidding. I had a mandatory college dodgeball practice. 'Had' being the operative term.

For real.

This trade makes me "sick", if you catch my drift.
