They're playing with fire trading back now because the talent pool is steadily declining. They'll almost have to trade up now to get the guy(s) they're targeting. I'm nervous.

This has been a great draft thus far stocking up picks in a deep draft while still getting 2 players already that fill needs. Now hopefully we'll see some oline help and a wr. Also maybe a project qb like Taylor or devlin.

We're playing with house money.

Depending on who they are targeting. I think this is the smartest draft we've had in... forever maybe. At least since Sean Taylor... RIP

And here come the thrown stones. Paea is the traded pick.

Nice job by Shanah-Allen of trading back off of Jacksonville's pick and turning it into two additional picks.

Paea fits better with Chicago with their 4-3 defense. Anyone knows how bad was his knee?

Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3

so we have effectifely turned the 10th pick into:

the 16th, an extra late round 2nd, a 4th and a 5th.

I am okay with that.

Late 2nd late 4th, late 5th. A 3rd, 5th, 6th IMO. I'd prefer marvin austin.

You can consider them whatever you want, but guess what - they are a 2nd, a 4th and a 5th.

As for Austin: "Characterized by those close to the team as 'talented, but selfish.'" Add that to his 2010 suspension and I am pretty sure he didn't fit with the FO's clear plan to build with guys who's notes read "team player, willing to do the dirty work".

Good Job FO. We started this draft with 8 picks and we are coming out of it with 11, including three in the first two rounds.
