i kinda feel the same way. i just think the bills and gailey will stay patient and go with a conservative game plan thinking after 60 mins the more talented team (bills) will be ahead on the scoreboard.

i also feel like OTM is running the warpath this morning. woot woot, a bunch of sleeping in members we got on here. yall are probably a bunch of alcoholics who are hung over. sad sacks.

Re: John Beck Era Begins

John Beck is a back up. While he's receives the endorsement of Mike Shanahan, we know that he is not the long term solution at QB. He does throw the ball well. He does have the ability to scramble. But yesterday I he held the ball for too long. Even on a blitz a quarterback should be able to get the ball to a receiver in one on one coverage instead of being swallowed up by defensive rushers.

While Beck did make some good reads yesterday, he looked like a pop warner QB to me. Because of the inconsistency at QB so far this year, unless the Redskins can get it together at this position, which is the most important on the field, Bruce Allen and Mike Shanahan need to be looking at the Landry Jones, Andrew Lucks, and Matt Barkleys of the world to draft in April.

I wonder if we will see Rex back behind center before too long.

If Beck screws the pooch again next week I'll bet we see Grossman vs. Miami.

Oh lord help me if we lose to the puke Dolphins..........

Would it be any worse than losing the the winless Lions a couple years ago?

If we reach 6 losses soon, it's Crompton time.

Re: John Beck Era Begins

I wanted to start the season with Grossman,I was ok with the switch to Beck,I thought we could use his mobility,I wasnt expecting to take more sacks with Beck, thats been a total surprise. The seasons lost anyway so Id like to see Beck finish out the year,we know what we have with Grossman,he's played enough career games to judge him.Beck has played I think 7 games, lets sink or swim with him and see if he progresses

Beck needs to play out the rest of the season period.

Re: John Beck Era Begins

John Beck needs game experience. But when I look back at the preseason, I'm wondering why Mike Shanahan didn't keep Kellen Clemens. Clemens has not only started more regular season games than Beck, he's also better than Grossman and Beck.

Well, I'm hoping John Beck finally gets on a roll and starts playing like a legitimate NFL QB.

I think Beck's really just a backup. I think he's better than he played last week and I think he could be an alright team leader but he's no NFL starter. Although I'm not sure why people are ready to throw the towel on Beck. The guy's played one game and people are ready to label him a QB pariah. This team right now is basically a ragtag group of backups at this point. We're only as good as what we're working with and offensively it's kinda grim-looking all around.

My suspicion is that the reason Clemens is gone is because he has already started more games than Beck and so there is plenty of game tape on him to demonstrate that he cannot be a starting quality QB in the NFL. BEck is here because the jury is still out on his ability to be a starter.

I truly do not understand why Rex Grossman is here and was the starter on opening day - - unless his agent has pictures of both Bruce Allen and Mike Shanahan doing naughty things to barnyard animals...
