Yeah, I'm not a Jim Harbaugh fan because he so often acts in such classless ways.

Good no-call, like the SB 4th down.

2 flags during play on ravens and 2 on 49ers. I don't think they called definaive holding once. I love when refs let them play. Blaming the refs means you lost

Also anyone notice that everytime 49ers ran read option Suggs was hitting kapernick. It wasn't working all that well till Ngata got injured and then gore carved them up

I'm positive Harbaugh told all his players to hold the 49ers defenders and there were at least 4-5 holding penalties that should have been called on the Ravens (including at least on blatent tackle), but since they would only have resulted in a safety (which was the goal anyway) and not any change to the kicking position, the holds effectively ran about five extra seconds off the clock and kept the 49ers from running an offensive play.

Brilliant call by a coach who knows his stuff.

Someone else who agrees already put the play to music:

It kind of reminds me of the play from the Replacements when the Washington team just flat laid into every member of the Dallas team. In the movies the refs were like: Personal foul on 10, 12,18,30 46 etc. Was hilarious

But to the point of this thread, how was no flag thrown on that? I get that it doesn't change anything, but several yellow flags should have come out.

I was watching the game as a fan of the game, didn't care who won.

It was a hold, the refs had very little control, including the shove on an official that should have been an ejection.

Bad officiating in the Super Bowl is absurd.

I did notice it, I thought it picked up before Ngata went out, but I could be wrong. But even the hits by suggs weren't vicious, and CK put his hands up right away. Still seems like effectively kept Suggs from making a play on the ball.

That push of the ref told me they were going to let this game be decided between the players and not on a bunch of penalties. It looked as if he didn't realize he was a ref until after he jumped up and pushed him. Yea the ref could have tossed him but the game was too big for that. It is after all football.

Ill agree with that. But the read option did become ineffective for the first portion of the game. Until gore got it going but I felt it was working when Ngata went out. And then any run play was working

I'd rather have officials quite and let football be played then for a questionable call help decide the game. Like I said if you aren't 100% sure... Don't throw the flag.

I know they should have had pictures of a lady blowing out a penis cake. I once saw them on a family friendly web site.

What makes this game different than every other game? Other than the obvious....It's the SUPERBOWL.

But c'mon man!

Why can't they call all the games like that? If it is good enough for the Superbowl, and they think it makes for a better game, then apply it to the rest of the season. Seems pretty reasonable to me. Let 'em play.
