What? Dalton had several multiple int games last year and crapped all over himself in the playoff game. He's had several roller coaster type games.

You're not understanding what I mean about roller coaster. Yes, Dalton has had some awful games, just like any QB, even Peyton Manning, has. But Dalton's record includes many capable showings with a few clunkers thrown in.

Cousins, on the other hand, runs extremely hot-and-cold, and this has been true since college. His clunker games are far more frequently mixed in. Just like Rex Grossman.

There was a stretch last year where Dalton threw 8 picks in 3 games, one of which he threw for a paltry 90 yards, and this was his 3rd full year starting. Then the playoff game where he threw an additional 4 picks. Sounds pretty hot and cold to me. Yet he was rewarded with a huge contract. Dalton and KC are looking like the same guy if you ask me. The only difference is one has over 50 starts, the other has 6.

KC had one of the best passing games of the history of the franchise just a week ago. Then the next week, one of the worst. I'd say he's probably somewhere in the middle. I think everyone went overboard with the crowing of KC, and now everyone is going overboard with pile on. Everyone needs to chill. This isn't a playoff team.

He went through back up reps in a new system in pre season.

He had a bad game coming from behind in a week with 3 days between games.


He suddenly wasn't a hall of famer after Philly and he isn't terrible after NY.

Just like you, I cant guarantee any of this. However, I do not believe we would have made the playoffs a single year if we had drafted Andy Dalton. I also do not believe that we would have made the playoffs had we drafted Russell Wilson (throw in Kaepernick as well). Our total team is just not all that good. We have pieces here and there, but by no means do we have a complete team like these other young QB's play for.

I realize that most people do this, but I do not believe the fortunes of a team revolve around just the QB. Had Seattle's offense never taken the field in the SB, they still win as their defense and special teams outscored Denver.

And I know I'm speaking in terms of the offseason already and we're only four games into the season, but being 1-3 kind of makes you think you're in trouble. Even if the skins were 4-0 at this point, I'd probably still consider building that offensive line up. I want RGIII to have so much time in the pocket that he literally gets bored holding onto the ball (well of course I'd want him to throw it to Jackson!)
