I'd love to keep a Native American type name. But this just makes sense. Why come up with something else that can still be deemed offensive to any Native American. Time to (sadly) move on to a different name/theme.

On a positive note, I hope this means Warriors is out.

So I'd say Warriors is out now unless they do a whole new rebrand. RedHawks or Redwolves seems possible, keep the R logo

I agree. Spear logo lose the feather if you must. But, I have a feeling it will be something else, what I'm not sure. Looks like Braves is out for sure.

Lake Lewis says he wouldn't be surprised if the monument was used in the new logo.. Maybe they could put warriors in that somehow, who knows anymore

I hope they keep the B&G too. I don't want red, white and blue because the Giants already use them in our division. We will keep the history. The SBs, the old teams, the records they aren't going anywhere unless DS throws a tantrum to "prove a point". Which he such a baby and an ass clown that you might see him do that.

As of now, a source said Washington plans to keep its colors burgundy and gold. That could, perhaps, change in the future but the plan for now is to keep the color scheme as they undergo a search for a new name.

Glad b&g is staying and new name is def happening. For some weird reason I though dan might hold out...but that would be a mistake which is par for dan.

Someone said Warthogs and I liked the hogs but not the wart.

Then I just saw a nice combo of Warpath and Warthogs.
