Game ball for Jack Del Rio.
We finally have a defensive coordinator.
Ryan Kerrigan, who wanted him traded away?
Kerrigan > Sweat.

Chase Young has been the missing link, his performance got the whole D going. Kerrigan gets a lot of credit too.

Re: Philly Game Day Thread

Thought I had web problems but it looks like its just nfl.com. Anyone know whats up?

Caught some of it on Red zone on Sky though so not all bad. I'll look at highlights etc. Before commenting but I'd say I called it fairly right before; D keeps us in it and O doesn't eff up. O will take time to gel (plus that OL!). Won't be able to do this every week but it shows promise 😊

Re: Philly Game Day Thread

Well this definitely wasn’t the start I was hoping for. I knew the offense wasn’t going to be good to start. But I was at least hoping the defense was be swallowing them up and it would be a low scoring game. Credit to the Eagles, they know our line is our strength and our secondary is weak and haven’t even tried to run the ball and just passing before the pass rush can get there.

Heck of a second half performance. There was bound to be some setbacks early with new coordinators. But heck of a performance to pull it together on both sides of the ball. I hope we can keep the momentum going and string some wins together.

First opening home win since 2014! HTTWFT!!

What astonished me was that the coaches made half time adjustments !!!! On both sides of the ball !!! I did not know that Washington coaches were allowed to make adjustments to the game plan during half time. .....................

They destroyed the Eagles Offense in the 2nd half, it was so refreshing

This!!!!! It’s amazing what writing in a half time adjustments clause into coaches contracts will do! FU Bruce Allen!!

Penalties greatly decreased after half time.

Re: Philly Game Day Thread

First half looked like a team that made massive changes of coaching staff, players, well, an overhauled team with no preseason.

Second half looked like they worked it all out. Haskins was 10-15 passing in the second half and showed a lot of leadership. Story going around is that Rivera was getting an IV at halftime for his cancer treatment and Haskins gave a damn good halftime speech that fired everyone up.

I heard that Rivera did get an IV at halftime but not sure if it was related to his cancer. He could have just been dehydrated.

Re: Philly Game Day Thread

Actually yes, I did stay optimistic throughout the game. Many games are a tale of different halves.

Namecalling and hashtags coming out...oh no, what shall I do.

Grow up.
