I've had a nice cup of coffee and I'm a little more relaxed than I was earlier. I'll try to explain some of the machinations without coloring them too much.

All the mods, from both sides of the aisle, agree that the site had a great season. The playoff run, some screenshots on Fox5 in DC, plus TAFKAS's Tony McGee connection brought unparalleled attention to the site. After the season, we had a few chat sessions to plan for the future of the site (I'm having trouble even typing out the name right now).

Suffice it to say, these discussions became heated. There was more than a little interest from outside media parties to align themselves with the site. Because of the tremendous profile such an alliance would bring, it was suggested to us that some content be modified or eliminated. From my perspective, that wasn't acceptable. Decidedly less acceptable was the response I got from Mr. Kyer when I expessed my concerns.

Mr. Kyer has built a great website here, and it's been my home since the yahoo days. I suppose I thought my own involvement was part of that success. Mr. Kyer disagrees, and so I get to find a new home. For everyone who finds my position childish or reactionary, maybe you're right and maybe you're not. I guess we'll all find out after the draft - presuming we aren't banned first.

So when the site was at its hight eveeryone started to disagree? I don't understand how either of these sites will be as awesome as this one is now.

I'll leave it to the mods who were the principal participants in the dispute ... you guys know who you are. They can share their views if they want. I'm not going to talk on their behalf.

That is what I thought. I thought that most members would be able to visit both sites and get stuff from each and matty would visit over there and "the defectors" would visit here. Now i realize it isn't like that so i am actually now really getting mad. Whatever like i said those who hold 'power' at this site can do whatever they want. They hold no obligation to us. I am now just more mad than i was.

We have tried to always deem the fans the controlling members of the site. Our new site will be grounded in the same principle.

But, if the mods differ on too many issues, have personality conflicts, and can't anticipate what would be best for the site and please the members, the relationship is unworkable. That's what took place here.

We probably should have waited until after April 1st to make the announcement so people wouldn't think it was a joke. All I can say is, trust me, this is no joke.

BTW This has been pointed out, but April Fool's doesn't start for another 12 hours.
