Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
Didn't know there were rumors. All I had said was Titans are frustrated with him and I'd like to get him. But I did also say theyre not likely to move him.

Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
yeah not sure how you'd give up on a 2nd year WR who had a decently productive year

Ace was saying we were wanting to add Britt, I figured you would have the scoop.

Think he said he saw something on some other message board. Not sure what exactly. I can't speak for rumors posted on other message boards

Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
Anyone who is remotely entertaining the idea that this may be a smokescreen is an unfortunate victim of delusion. That doesn't mean that Haynesworth won't eventually get in line, just that it hasn't happened yet.

Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
I never said this was a smoke screen. This is information that is out there. There are discussions taking place. Does not mean it will ever get done. I am sure BA and even MS won't take what is not proper compensation.

Two picks with at least a second rounder being in the deal would be fine by me. Can't see why they couldn't cough up two second rounders for AH. |

How about a 3 team trade with the titans and chargers?

Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
I want the guy gone but I also want a player that can help this team now in return. I understand the draft picks but this team is built to win now, and if/when we lose AH, that makes a huge Hole on our DL

Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
Well, it would have been easier to get that in July or early August instead of this week. For instance, we could have gone after Aubrayo Franklin of the 49ers, who has 3-4 experience. Or get someone else in here to improve our D-line. I just don't see the logic of waiting this long.

This team needed discipline. One player, one, does not like how things have changed and is trying to fight the system. If it was more then one player... perhaps 3 or 4 players I'd say Dan Snyder made a mistake in picking the Allen/Shanahan team. Instead it's one player who refuses to get with the program. Honestly at this point I don't think I'd trade him. I'd be trying to make an example out of him. I still don't get the lets just cut our losses and take the crappy exchange rate after having shelled out 21 mill. I'm sorry, either I get 21 mill of work out of your ass or you can sit on the bench every weekend watching your teamates play... win, lose, or draw, and think about what you want out of life... a job where your playing a game having fun or sitting on the bench wishing you could knock heads losing a yr of playing time possibly diminishing your skill even further. Mean while I'd be up in my booth scanning my binoculars from the field to the bench and enjoying wondering what the fans were saying to AH throughout the whole game. |

If we're very, very lucky we get a player from trade who can actually help us. If we're just lucky AH will stay, play and be significantly better than he's been so far. The problem is, our defense, especially the d-line, is suspect w/o a dominant AH. My take is this: if Mike and Jim couldn't see ahead to AH struggling so badly - or if they did consider it but do nothing, as we've seen to shore up the situation - my faith in the new regime is greatly diminished. Mike can't win w/o a dominant defense, a part of the game he doesn't seem to understand well. Much was put on Haslett's shoulders because 1) of Mike being the HC and 2) the unit in place was very, very good and just a piece or 2 short of being dominant. If our defense is noticeably worse than last year we should be very, very concerned.
