Charity doesn't necessarily make you a good person. Even Hitler and Stalin gave to charity. Heck Snyder tried to use his charity events as a get out of jail free card the media. Not saying thats why he did it, but some people don't really understand the concept of charity where the only times you should advertise is when your filling out your tax return or when your story will encourage someone else to give or donate. Unfortunately some people use charity to rid their concense of guilt or to get other people to like them (ie the attempt to buy respect overshadows the actual purpose of a charitable act).

Anyway I'm getting off track. The point is you can give to or start a charity and still be a jerk.

Having a charity doesn't exclude you from being an a-hole with a huge ego. I'll let SS take it from here.

There are a lot of exaggerations in this story about McNabb and about Snyder. Being made a much bigger deal than it needs to be. But I guess that's what happens with this lockout.

As for Green, I guess maybe I'll dig up some old posts

I think Hopkins has taken a few too many shots to the head.

All I know is Darrell Green was HELLA annoying during the whole HOF induction process after he was elected.

His ego is straight up outrageous.

Great football player. Great community contributions guy.

Crazy full of himself.

Funny thing is a while back my friend and I were talking about how "nice guys finish last" to which I believe is completely untrue. If anything I feel that nice guys get the most chances especially in sports.

Basically I said that if you're a talented jerk people will look for any reason to drop you once you loose the talented part while nice people will typically be cut some slack during slumps. Case in point T.O and Randy Moss. Teams love them when things are going right but once things start to get rough they're dropped instantly.

Guys like Kurt Warner and BMW on the other hand get chances for as long as they're able to show up. Obviously part of it has to do with their talent/potential talent but I seriously believe that if Warner and BMW were viewed as divas, teams wouldn't have even gone near them.

Yup, and if you watch the America's Game about the '87 Skins, he practically breaks his arm trying to pat himself on the back time after time. The thing with him is he puts on the smile and manages to not come off like a total cocky bastard. He's got that subtle ego I guess you could say.

He's definitely one of my all time favorite players and there's no doubt he's a true Hall of Famer for what he did on the field. As to whether he's a Hall of Famer off the field... reviews are mixed at best.

I think when T.O. said "I love me some me", DG could totally relate.

Well, OTR spoke to a source close to McNabb who replied “no,” when we asked if there was any truth to this story.
LOL, all I can tell you is that I have a source close to MS who said "yes" when asked if there was any truth to the story. Honestly I don't but you can see how this works. To me it's a rumor. I'm not saying it's 100% true but I'm not discrediting it and saying it's 100% false. Sounds like today is damage control day.

Quote:
“I find it amazing,” the source continued. “Only Donovan can be accused of being an Uncle Tom and 48 hours later be classified as defiant.”
WTF? I was always under the impression the term "Uncle Tom" was a racial slur to mean any black person who agrees with the white society or goes against black american ideals (if I'm saying it right). What has McNabb done or said for him to be called an "Uncle Tom"?

Quote:
We asked if Donovan was going to publicly defend himself on this topic and the source didn’t think he would.
“No,” the source said. “Donovan will stick with his policy of handling this kind of talk in house.”
Thats one good thing about McNabb, he likes to keep personal business between him and management.... unless he's one the radio.

Quote:
We still don’t know who would stand to benefit from the wristband story getting out. The Redskins would be stupid to let something like that get out because it would hurt McNabb’s trade value. Is it possible that Shanahan made it up and that’s why Snyder was just now hearing about it? Was Shanahan trying to cover for his son Kyle yet again?
Bingo. Covering for Kyle? I'm confused. KS had a really good offense while with Houston, but their defense was horrid costing them a lot of games. I can't speak for the rest of you but for me, it appeared MS's running scheme was not working so they relied heavily on KS's passing attack. First year under new scheme, combined with no running game I like to think KS did pretty well. Atleast a lot better then Zorn. I don't see any reason to cover for him and yes we would have a lot less trade value if the story got out.
