If we were to draft to qb outside of the first round it has to be Kellen Moore. Ryan Lindsay had all the physical skills, but he's just not all the good. I think Kellen Moore will be a much better prospect. When I look at Kellen Moore I see a guy who's extremely accurate with the football. The only thing that's keeping him out of the top 5 of this draft is size and arm strength. I consider both to be overrated. This guy is an outstanding passer and if we can get him in the second or third round I would happy. I think he's the second coming of Drew Brees.

Lindley is a four year starter who has struggled three out of four years at a low level of competition. Guys like that have a place in this league, but when they have to play, they usually turn out somewhere between Derek Anderson and John Skelton. Can't spend a pick on that when there will be better players in undrafted free agency.

I think Kellen Moore is a better pro prospect coming out than Andy Dalton. The problem with Moore is that six foot guys simply can't be used in the same way that six five guys can in the NFL. There are about 12 passing systems in the league where Kellen Moore is a bona fide first round talent. Of course, none of those systems are struggling to find quarterbacks. Those are the ones that employ Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Freeman, etc.

There are two teams who may be able to get first round value out of Kellen Moore who don't have an obvious long term solution to the QB problem. Arizona and Miami are running offense that could make Kellen Moore a star (though if either fires their offensive staff, all bets are off). He's probably a second or third round project to the Redskins.

There are several top college QBs that I like. Since Andrew Luck won't be drafted by the Redskins unless Shanahan gives away lots of draft choices to put the Redskins in the number 1 slot to get Luck, then Landry Jones, Robert Griffin III, and Matt Barkley are definitely next in line after Luck. Griffin III has a brilliant deep ball, pocket presence, can scramble with great running ability, his super accuracy, and very athletic. Barkley is very accurate, doesn't throw many interceptions, can scramble, plays in a pro style offense, is a field general, a team leader, and has the ability to hit his receivers in stride. Jones is a gifted QB. Although his completion percentage is down a bit this year, he's still a great passer with excellent pocket presence. He can hit the deep ball. Jones doesn't scramble much, but he can tuck it and run if he has to.

Problem is Luck is the only one thats likely to come out.

I don't follow college ball, but I will say this random thought. The "disadvantage" of the spread offense is hardly substantial enought to cause a QB to fail(aka, it's mostly BS). It's just a lack of knowledge and muscle memory. If the QB's brain is not pliable to make the transition, he's got bigger issues than the offense he ran in college. Guys like Sam Bradford and Cam Newton came out of the spread and they are doing just fine.

Case Keenum in the 2nd. Dude had more TD's two weeks ago then both our QBs has had all season long combined. Plus has a 68% completion percentage over his entire college career.

David Klinger
Andre Ware
Kevin Kolb
Graham Harrell (he didn't go to houston but Houstons offensive coordinator is a disciple of Mike Leach and admits they use texas techs offense.)
Colt Brennan (same offense, different team)

I liked this, hopefully they will focus on the offense a lot in the next draft. SIDENOTE: I was looking at their next article on fixing the 3-4. I don't know why Haslett hasn't adopted Wade Phillip's 3-4 NT scheme. Cofield would excel as an attacking NT the same way that Ratliff excelled in Dallas.

This is exactly what I called for in an earlier post today, a QB and two O-linemen for the first 3 rounds. I would be thrilled with this outcome, especially a QB with the athleticism of RG3. I would address our void at #1 WR via free agency.
