Though I spoke with someone (with knowledge) today who thinks we're going Foles in round 2 and WR in round 1 (possibly through a trade down). But he's just guessing as much as I am

IF that materialized, I'd be fine with Blackmon.

Here's another one: 2012 NFL Draft Team Needs for Every Team | Bleacher Report

Offseason Needs

Quarterback: The Rex Grossman/John Beck experiment didn't work. With a better quarterback in place, this is a playoff contender. Expect Washington to draft a quarterback very early in the 2012 draft.

Tight End: Mike Shanahan's offense in Washington hasn't featured the tight end as much, but they still don't want to lose Fred Davis. If Davis leaves, drafting an athletic tight end becomes even more of a priority.

Right Guard: Will Montgomery has a strong chance to leave town, but Washington could stand to upgrade over him either way.

Wide Receiver: The play of the wide receivers in Washington has been lackluster, but some of that blame falls on the quarterbacks. If Washington is in place to grab a top-tier wide receiver through free agency or the draft, they could use the talent.

Safety: If LaRon Landry chooses to leave town, the Redskins will need to make major upgrades through the draft and free agency. Landry is one of the better young players on the defense and will be tough to replace.

If I recall only two teams showed serious interest in Brees because of his shoulder.

Yeah Miami and NO. Everyone else had serious concerns about his shoulder. Even Miami ended up passing and went for Culpepper instead.

Yeah thats what we all heard was the Dolphins and Saints. It's just kind of a shock now that not more were interested in him.

And Barry Sanders Jr. will be attending Stanford.

Stanford reportedly lands Barry Sanders' son

That's like asking which is better, death by drowning or burning alive...

Re: And with the 6th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the redskins select...........

Barring any trades, the top 5 players who at this point will be taken ahead of us are:
Luck
Kalil
Blackmon
Griffin
Richardson

We're at 6. Luck will be gone. Not sure we'd be in the market for Kalil or Richardson. If Blackmon or Griffin are gone by 6, I see a possible trade here.

Really, the only team ahead of us that might draft a QB is Cleveland (other than Indi). If Griffin is there, he's gone, I would think.

As far as teams that need a QB bad enough to try for Luck or RGIII:
Miami, KC, Sea, Denver (maybe), Was, Cleveland

With limited suitors I'm not sure Indi will get 3 #1's.

Yes, add Claiborne in there. Some mocks have us w/ Claiborne although not sure I see that. Area of need, yes, just not sure if we'd go defense again.
