Neither does Tom Brady, Brad Johnson, Drew Brees, Eli Manning, Matt Hasselbeck, etc. Since when has arm strength had anything to do with the success of a quarterback in the NFL? Ask Mike Vick and Patrick Ramsey what their cannon arms have gotten them lately. |

Re: Jets and Chiefs reach agreement for Coach Edwards
Not to make a racial connection but Herm reminds me a lot of Dungy before he went to Indy. A good coach who maybe needs a change in scenery to finally take the final steps toward a great coach. He certainly has the organizational and motivational skills to do the job. If he gets the right situation and can surround himself with good assistants then he will really excel. Good move for the Chiefs. Probably a real bad move for the Jets. Who are they going to get? Another unproven coordinator? More years of rebuilding. A proven vet? Who's out there? Mike Sherman, Mike Tice, Norv, Jim Haslett? Can anyone say any of those guys is better than Herm? Jeez bad situation there for the Jets.

Re: Jets and Chiefs reach agreement for Coach Edwards
Herm Edwards is a great hire for Kansas City. Players give everything they have for Edwards. If I was a Chief fan, I would be very elated. Herm Edwards is one of the young firey coaches that garners the respect of their players. I would also include Bill Cowher, John Gruden, Marvin Lewis, Tony Dungy, Jim Mora and Lovie Smith on that list.

Re: Jets and Chiefs reach agreement for Coach Edwards
Is it a conditional 4th? Like if the Chiefs finish under .500 does it drop to a 6th round pick?
Seriously though, I like Herm. I think there was some sort of clash between him and the Jets GM that forced him out. It will be interesting to see what changes Edwards makes in KC. Will Priest be pushed out? Will they finally find someone to ultimately replace Trent Green? And what about that defense?
