If our defense doesn't outscore our offense it's their fault, haven't you heard? So long as we can sing the praises of Brunell, all is fine in Redskin land. |

Are you sure you're not just bitter because everything you predicted a year ago (Brunell sucks, Portis was only a product of the Denver system) turned out to be wrong? |

Re: The missed FG
Hall was nothing special this season. YES, it took some of the wind out of our sails missing the FG. if your hall, you MUST make that kick!

Re: The missed FG
Hall looked horrible in warmups. He was short on most of his 50 yard attempts and his 45 yarders were barely making it. I knew then, that we could not depend on Hall (something many of us knew already) I thought Gibbs should have went for it and they were thinking about it.
Matty said it right. He is being paid too much for too little and Gibbs should not be forced to go for it from the 33 because he knows his kicker will come up short on a 50-yarder. |

Re: The missed FG
we need a new kicker that is more reliable and cheaper.it got to a point in the season that coach gibbs was wondering just what john halls range was.makes too much to be undependable

Re: The missed FG
Hall is the only kicker I can recall who is hurt all the time. You are a kicker! How can you be hurt all the time?
We need a guy who is at least capable of making 50 yarders. |

Re: The missed FG
The pressing question for me was,on 4th and 4 in the fourth quarter with 6:54, why didn't we go for the first down instead of kicking a field goal. I think we did rely too much on the defense to hold them after they had struggled all day to contain Hasselbeck. The conservative play-calling kind of hurt the moral of the team because Portis, Betts and Cartwright wasn't given the opportunity to get the short yardage. If we could convert a 3rd and 20 against the Seahawks, what is four yards with Rock Cartwright running the ball? Cartwright should have been given a chance.

Re: The missed FG
Did they show on TV when he spiked the ball and did a forward roll to celebrate his fumble recovery? I crapped my pants when I saw that. I was thinking "Don't pull a "Gramatica"!"
Nice fumble recovery, but kickers should not do any excessive celebration, especially when you're hurt to start with. |

Re: The missed FG
How can I say this without cursing or drawing question to the sexuality of the position as a whole - kickers don't belong in football.

Re: The missed FG
One word. Kickoff.
Hall couldnt even kick the ball past the 15. We always were giving good field positon to them becasue of it.

Re: The missed FG
a money 40 yard FG kicker is often referred to in this league as worthless.

Re: The missed FG
We need a damn kickoff specialist if we are going to keep Hall. We need someone who can kick the ball inside the 5 everytime.
