Re: Age old Question
Future Pro Bowl WR Anquan Boldin was also still on the board when we picked Taylor Jacobs.
I do not like picking Wr's high in the draft. Productive WR's and RB's can be found in the lower rounds and free agency, more so than any other position. |

Re: Age old Question
To make this more relevant to the Redskins - how pissed would you be if the Skins failed to address the needs at wr and de through free agency and then on draft day grabbed a rb in the 2nd round? We could end up fielding the same team with the same problems next year.
To answer your question JAMF - I never like trading up. You never know when a 7th (Frerottre) might out play a 1st (Shuler). As far as picks go, the more the better (now if I could only sell the Skins on this).

Re: Age old Question
Doss and Taylor...................sounds nice. But I'd rather have Jacobs...........not.

Re: Age old Question
I feel like this is the reason that the Texans probably shouldn't draft Reggie Bush. Of course he was fantastic in college, but that team has much more glaring needs and a decent running back in Dominic Davis. I know its been said 1000 times, but why wouldn't they trade that pick to get more players (ie, O-linemen)?

Re: Age old Question
i feel the same. Texans should keep Davis and try to get someplayers that can protect the QB!!! But they won't and then they will wonder why the still suck. i guess Casserly doesn't remember that O-Line is why the Skins won while he was with this organization.

Re: Age old Question
they might end up trading down... but no one wants to be the guy that passes on barry sanders. davis is hurt alot, that's a legitimate knock on him. With bush, davis can still help as the #2 and as a WR.
LT was worth it, if bush is a good then maybe he can make up for a crap oline and keep people keyed on him, which would help carr stay upright. Its a tough call and i guess it depends on the offer you get to move down. |
