Do you blame him? He wants to show the skins he can still play. The writing was on the wall for LA. He actually did the skins a favor by paying back some $. I have high respect for him, bc i believe that in a perfect world he wants to be a skin. He's done alot around the DC area on and off the field. Let's let him go and wish him success except against us (and if he plays for a nfc east team).

AP is another of those players who left here with some fluke desire to stick it to the skins because of whatever reason they're no longer here. I recall when B.Mitch left here, he was saddled with the same desire, went to the Eagles, Giants, and came back here to retire. We did a good job on him with both teams. So all this talk about LaVar in the NFC east doing this and that is CRAP. Personally I hope he does go to an NFC east team so we can use him up at least twice a year.

I hate antonio pierce and champ. They both never shut the **** up. I know antonio has done nothing wrong... yet involving lavar but if Lavar ever ends up talking shit about the skins like bailey and antonio i will be more hurt than pissed.

Dont you see a common thread here. Players leaving with bad tastes in there mouth. started with Brian mitchell, Art monk(both should have never worn another jersey)brad johnson,steven davis, champ bailey, trotter,smoot,peirce. now lavar. I know players tend to say things when they leave, but for all of them to say the same thing, that isn't a coinsodence.

I don't think that what most of these guys have said after they leave is any different than what other players say when they leave teams. We just notice it more because we pay more attention to what our players (and x players) say when they leave. The players that should have never worn another teams jersey could go for mile's ( Rice, Emmit, Bruce Smith, Joe Mont. etc..) teams just sometime have to make those decisions.

It has been insult to injury, I can't stand the way those things have happened, but this is Gibbs' team now & he's trying to right the ship & not overpay a few guys at the expense of others. AP & Smoot really didn't bad mouth us, they just said the obvious; that free agents were getting paid more than guys who were "homegrown redskins" as smoot put it. They were right but unfortunately Gibbs inherited most of the current salary cap mess we're in, he only contributed to some of the signings, & he doesn't sign the checks. What we're seeing now, w/lavar gone, is part of the bigger picture I hope - more fiscal restraint & sound cap mgmt. PLus, losing doesn't make anyone happy & most of these guys left w/out a winning season here.
But what has lavar said about the skins? nothing that bad except last year's rant about his knee & the $ dispute.

But when all is said and done I'm predicting he goes to the Ravens

I'm not sure I'd compare him to Johnny Damon though if he went to the Cowboys. I don't think it would have been as big a deal if not for the fact that, just two years ago, Damon was instrumental in getting the Yankees monkey off the Red Sox nation back and getting them their first WS title in 88 years. LaVar is not in the same situation

News articles say the Giants don't have the cap room to sign him now, but with an extension they would have the room to sign him.

The Iggles have plenty of room to sign him and then some.

If the Giants got him, that would basically end their free agent shopping for the year. They're going to need to find a replacement for Will "Powdered Toast Man" Allen as well.

Eagles are cheap asses, even though I did see they'd have plenty of money.
