You mean like the people sitting next to me and my dad?
They left when Vanderjagt was lining up to beat us in the Dallas game, too. I think they're bad luck. Good riddance.

Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
Of course they are trying to beat the hellatious traffic. With the ravens having a game and all the thanksgiving traffic I'm sure it might have taken some people that did stay 3 hours to get home to some parts of Loudon County.

I agree with you, I dont think I'd leave early either but until Sunday the Skins have never given any indication they could comeback and win a game this season. |

Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
I learned my lesson about leaving early...11/10/96. Skins/Cards. Skins were up 34-27. Buddy of mine and I decide, victory is in hand with like 2 minutes left, we'll head for the Metro to beat the crowds. So, since we're both sporting walkmen, it's cool...we can listen to the final seconds on our way to the train. Big mistake. Esaison throws a TD pass with 20 seconds left to tie the game, then after both kickers missed in OT, Kevin Butler hits the game winner with 33 seconds left in OT. By that time, my buddy and I had made our way to the Stadium Armory station, took the train back to New Carrollton, hopped in the car, and were past College Park when the game finally ended.
Ever since then, I won't leave a Skins game early. No matter the score.

Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
I need more clarification on the phrase "leave early"? Is this meant to suggest that a fan attends the game and, before the final outcome is determined, disembodies himself from the stadium? The concept is so alien to me I have a hard time imagining the possibility of this actually occurring.

Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
But hadn't 2 of their previous 3 wins this season been last second comebacks?

I guarantee that had MB been the QB even more people would have left because he just never seemed like he could pull out a win this season. |

Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
I was in the last row of the upper deck on 50-yard line, and we were shocked by the number of people leaving. From there you could see people heading for the exits by the dozens. If we were down by like 2 TD's I could see it, but come on now, there was tons of time left in the game and our D was playing great.
