Re: Randle El Signing Shows Why Skins Can't Compete
Randle-El was not signed to be JUST a punt returner -- he was signed to be a starting WR, IN ADDITION to being a punt returner. It's hard to compare his contract to that of other WRs who don't return punts. Which brings me to another point: ARE is a good punt returner, and whenever the guy has the ball he can make people miss. Don't forget that he returned one for a TD this year. (and if I remember correctly, he did it by splitting two defenders).

Re: Randle El Signing Shows Why Skins Can't Compete
I would be happy with EITHER Lloyd or Randle El, they both have their moments...but did we really need to get both, giving up two roster spots, a 3rd round pick, a 4th round pick, and countless millions when our WR sitution simply lacked depth?

Re: Randle El Signing Shows Why Skins Can't Compete
If you project his rating over 200 throws...then WHAT? Oh the suspense!! Help me!!
I have no idea where you are going with this though, but you at least started your sentence as if you were going to drop a statistical bombshell.

i agree with you 100% , i know a bunch of steelers fans and everyone of them wishes the steelers would have kept A.R.EL. he was more important to that offense then people give him credit for.

Re: Randle El Signing Shows Why Skins Can't Compete
Monk was by many teams slated as a TE in fact i belive he played some TE here kind of like the hybrid HB possition Cooley played in the first two years he was here .... so in fact yes Gibbs does have a big WR type target now. ARE and Lloyd have to be given time to pan out the issue is in three years time thier contracts start to get bigger so it would be renegocitation time or bye time for one or both

Look lets face it like it mentioned earlier, last year ol' Big Ben threw the ball at most 20 times a game. Thanks to the awsome running game and always having a short field to work with thanks to...Yep you guessed it, Mr. Antwaan Randle El...

Re: Randle El Signing Shows Why Skins Can't Compete
We do have Cooley though who is a better receiving TE than Gibbs ever had in his first run.
