But # 6. Suisham seems better than Hall or Novak. Recommend competition in TC.

Welcome new posters!
The above is not a better list because numbers 1 - 5 are out of the teams control. Injuries happen and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Re: Seven Steps to Redskins Renewal

Note that in Manning's first season he completed only 56% of his passes (Campbell currently completing 52%) and threw more INT's than TD's (Campbell currently 6 TD's / 5 INT's).

Campbell has attempted 122 passes in 4 games, Manning attempted 575 in 17 games. Based on Jason's current rate of atts/cmps/TD's/INT's, if he played a full 17 game season at the current pace, his line would be:

268 comp / 519 att / 3010yd/ 25 TD / 21 INT

Now ask yourself if you could live with those numbers from a first year QB?

Hey, believe it or not, that's the projection based on the way he's played over 4 games. And one would expect him to get better as time goes on, which isn't even accounted for.

Am I saying Campbell is going to be the next Peyton Manning? Uhh, no. (Although I wouldn't mind.) But what I am saying is anyone who is already up in arms that Campbell hasn't made an impact are the ones who are really smoking something.

Very few 1st year QB's ever have that kind of success right away.

I think Synder and Gibbs will. We did trade up to get him and Gibbs knows rookies need time. I think next year he will be good, Brunell just needs to guide him in the right direction.

Re: Seven Steps to Redskins Renewal

Hey, What's up guys! I'm new to the site and just signed up today. I've been a die hard skins fan for quite some time. Tough dealing with all these Giants fans in New York.

I have watched every game this year. Reason why we are losing:

1) Gibbs is a Hall of Fame Coach who decided to not call plays for the fist time in his NFL career?? (not a good move in my mind)

2) Defense looks completely soft. Carlos Rogers has been awful. Springs injury put CB depth or lack of under the radar. Why cut Walt Harris?? Why let safety go to Steelers. That guy was Sean Taylor's best friend on the team. I love Taylor but he's not where he should be after 3 years.

3) Play Calling. We beat Atlanta if we run the ball after we stop them on 4th down. We beat Philly if we run 4 straight time on the 3 yard line. We beat Tampa Bay if Williams does not call an all out blitz where Rogers gets smoked.

Hey AL!!! When in doubt, run the ball and run some more. Our offensive line has started every game this year and are by far our bright spot.

I love Gibbs but he needs to do some soul searching and get this thing right!

GO SKINS!!!!!

Really, he just needs to get his completion % up. If he does that, the yards/attempt will come up with it. Know when it's smart to take the shot downfield, but just because it's 1 v 1 doesn't mean you have to make the low percentage pass. It may be the best throw, but JC should still be reading the field.

I agree that Campbell is going to be good, eventually. Knowing the Skins luck, we'll trade him before that....

Re: Seven Steps to Redskins Renewal

Is this like AA? (Not our worthless used-to be safety, now punt block guy, but Alcholics Anonymous? (sp))

Do we have to apologize or hug anyone?

My name is JWSleep, and I've been depressed about the skins for months now...

Re: Seven Steps to Redskins Renewal

I have a hard time with #7 as Gibbs et al have done nothing to gain my trust that they can evaluate personell and make correct decision in that area.

I agree with teh other 6.
