Re: Stress relief tactics?
Anything active. Playing some ball, going up White Oak or Little Devils Stairs (two of my favorite trails around here), soccer. Anything that you're doing with someone else and getting some excersize.

Re: Stress relief tactics?
Any sort of exercise does it for me. Whether it's hitting the gym or going for a long walk or bike ride. I can almost feel the stress melting away sometimes.

Swimming.
There's something therapeutic about it. With running or just about any other exercise, you're subject to other sights and sounds around you. But in the water it's just silence (save for some splash sounds) and following a black line up and down a pool. You can retreat into your own world and get great exercise at the same time.

Not a big fan of stress, so I don't have it.

Re: Stress relief tactics?
Sometimes it's just as simple as cranking a great song and getting totally lost in it. That's usually how I'll try to unwind on the way home from work.

Re: Stress relief tactics?
Honestly, this sounds totally hick of me, but I get on my riding mower, put on the iPod and mow the back yard for a couple hours.

It's only hick if you take your shirt off and wear a pair of cutoff denim shorts with work boots.

Lady Brave, I have indeed heard of that, but I hear you have to be driving on the actual road to get one. If I'm THAT drunk to be rolling down the highway, I deserve it!

We actually have a lady who rides her motorized wheelchair in the middle of a very busy four lane street in front of our courthouse and you better not even think about blowing your horn at her. She scares me. |
