I agree, we can't have Harry dying.

Re: Potter film breaks record in US
my roommate loves it. He called me up when the 6th book came out and told me to meet him at the midnight release. I was like, hellz no. He is going this year. I just hate it when harry potter talk breaks out in my dorm room. Maybe i should read the books though. I will someday... i think.

Re: Potter film breaks record in US
Anyone wants to know if he dies or not? I know! My daughter went Tuesday night at midnight to see the first show. I've never seen on of the movies but she said that it was great and worth loosing the sleep over.

I'm going to wager that he doesn't die in this movie, since it's not even based on the last book

My favorite book out of all of them so far is #6 Half Blood Prince. Although the ending to OOP was great. I've heard that a lot of the conversation between Harry and Dumbledore at the end of the book was left out of the movie. That sucks. It was such a pivotal moment in the series. |

Re: Potter film breaks record in US
the movie was good but I would put in either second or third behind Prisoner of Azkaban as #1 and a toss up between Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix as my second or third favorite. the final action sequence was sweet as hell.

My favorite "Potter" film is "It's a Wonderful Life".

Re: Potter film breaks record in US
Rowling just said she's not adverse to writing yet another Potter book, didn't she?
Anyhow, true story, several years ago I'm working at this tv station and I get this message about some new author who had written a fantasy book about a young wizard and was looking to promote. So I said sure why not, we've got a lot of moms watching the news at this time. Maybe this is a book they could get for their kids. So long story short, I made the pitch for us to book JK Rowling on our show. Little did I know she'd become as rich and famous as she is today.

Re: Potter film breaks record in US
Here's my prediction for the 7th Book:
Snape dies helping Harry kill LV. Snape is actually good. He and Dumbledore planned for Dumbledore's death so that Snape could "prove" his loyalty to LV. Then at the crucial moment, Snape sacrifices himself to help Harry kill LV. Snape's motivation for doing so will have something to do with his love of Harry's mom. You read it here first. lol

Re: Potter film breaks record in US
I guess it I assumed it was always a given that LV would die and that he was not one of the characters subject to the death count. I stand by my Snape prediction, and I'm throwing in Hagrid just 'cause.

my family and i saw the movie last night, it's very good. imo, it's better than GoF and tied with PoA as the best movie so far.
