If JC is not ready then I totally agree with this move. But I still think he needs a lot more reps before the season starts. I think Palmer might be a diamond in the rough so I would like to see him get a fair chance as well.

I am certainly happy with the decision. There's no need to risk our entire season by aggravating his knee for a preseason game. I think going against our defense in practice is probably enough to get him ready. It's not like we absolutely need him to get reps in a preseason game since he's the type to get rattled just because there are a lot of people in the stands.
