Re: I Was Wrong When...
I, for one, have never been wrong. (The key is to post in very careful and vague language, and never to predict scores... )
Maybe I'll run for congress or something. AMD: Hey, if ya gotta poop in a bag and hide it in your office, ya gotta poop in a bag and hide it in your office. These things happen! Let he who is without sin cast the first poop-bag, as they (sort of) say.

Re: I Was Wrong When...
I love this thread.
I was wrong when I thought that coming out of college Ryan Leaf would be better than Peyton Manning; I was really wrong when I predicted it would take LeBron James at least 2 years before he really contributed in the NBA and he might be a total Bust; I was wrong about Chris Wilson, hey, he made the team. |

Re: I Was Wrong When...
I too, share the wrongness of predicting big things for Lloyd.
I'd love to come back to this thread at the end of the season and say, "I was wrong for my premature wrongness concerning Lloyd."

Re: I Was Wrong When...
I was REALLY wrong when I thought Heath Shuler was going to be the next Troy Aikman!

Re: I Was Wrong When...
I was wrong about Frost being a horrible punter(although I was right the next year in assuming aliens abducted him and did some kind of alien things to him that made him much much better).
I was wrong about our Oline and Joe Bugel. Man have they stepped up big this year. |

Re: I Was Wrong When...
I was wrong when:
-I said that LL was a waste of a pick and that Okoye would have been a better fit -I said that we weren't going to have a pass rush -I predicted that Michael Vick would someday take the Falcons to the Superbowl -I predicted an 8-8 season finish (i hope at least that we exceed that)

Re: I Was Wrong When...
I said Michael Boulware was going to be the best LB/S drafted in his class. In 2003, I said Ramsey would, eventually, be a Pro Bowler. I said Rod Gardner was a great #2.

Re: I Was Wrong When...
In kindergarten, I voted for Jimmy Carter in the school's mock election.
I thought bringing in Al Noga was a great idea in 1993. I also liked the Brandon lloyd signing. More recently, I thought it would be suicide for the Redskins to rush only four against Detroit. The secondary sure surprised me.

Re: I Was Wrong When...
I was sooo wrong when I said Joey Harrington still had a future as a starter in the NFL.

Side note, does anyone want to buy a Ramsey replica jersey?

Re: I Was Wrong When...
*I was wrong when I said we should get rid of Brunell this year. QBs are dropping like flies this year and he's a great insurance policy.
*I was wrong about GW not adjusting his scheme to maximize his players. The game plan v. Detroit was brilliant and he made Martz look very average. *I was wrong about the Chargers being the most talented team in the NFL. I still think they are talented, but obviously Marty is a helluva coach. *I was wrong about some of you on Warpath. Some of you are smarter than I thought, and then some of you...oh boy, some of you.... |
