Re: After 7 Weeks Who is Overrated & Underrated
For those who think that the Pat's are over rated just go back and look at our stats from 1991 when our O was dominating most teams. I think we had like 28 passing TDs for the year and the Pats have 27 in just 7 games. They are going to crush the stats that our O put up that year and I do not think anyone thought we were overrated. That was the only stat I could remember off the top of my head but the other day I heard a comparison and not even funny how much they are going to crush our stats from that year.

Re: After 7 Weeks Who is Overrated & Underrated
I know the Colts are undefeated as well, but the Patriots are doing to the NFL what Tiger Woods is doing to golf. In a league by themselves. The Pats are not overrated.
I think the Browns are underrated, I think they may actually make the playoffs with Derek Anderson under center NOT Brady Quinn! Imagine that! |

Re: After 7 Weeks Who is Overrated & Underrated
The thing people have to remember about being overrated is that it's a relative term. I don't dispute that they are a vey good team. But I do think this "best team ever" talk is wholly premature, based on the teams they've thrashed thus far.

I think the Capitol Police football team are underrated and the Members of Congress team are overrated.

how are the Dolphins underated? I think they are pretty much as bad as we say they are.

Re: After 7 Weeks Who is Overrated & Underrated
Overrated: NFC teams
Underrated: Saints, Chiefs, Titans, Jags, NYG *The AFC is much tougher than our lesser conference. Their top teams are much stronger than ours. Saints suddenly look good again. Herm Edwards is 4-3 with Damon Huard at QB. Jeff Fisher is more committed to the run than any coach I have ever seen. Jax wins today with injuries galore. Giants quietly 2nd in NFC and sick D line. As for our skins, I want to see 5-3 next week. We could be 6-1 or 2-5 now, so we're 4-3 still baby! Gibbs will have our house back in order next week. |

Re: After 7 Weeks Who is Overrated & Underrated
Well today was the worst beating the Skins have endured in my lifetime. For this 8 game stretch, this is easily the best all-around team I've ever seen. For crying out loud, their average margin of victory must be somewhere around 24 ppg after today!!!

All I can say is that the Patriots went from a team I didn't particularly pay attention to or care about to a team I deeply loathe and despise, more so than the Cowboys, Ravens, or even the Iggles (!)

Re: After 7 Weeks Who is Overrated & Underrated
Overrated: How about Marvin Lewis? A lot of people said the Redskins should have named Lewis the head coach and not Spurrier but look at him now. Running a team of delinquents to a 2-5 record. He's headed for, at best, another run of the mill 8-8 record
Underrated: Buffalo Bills. They just need to settle on a QB

Marvin has a problem with the inmates running the asylum over in Cincy, but you have to have every reason to believe that's as much on the team ownership as it is the coach. Rarely does the coach get to clean house and institute martial law on a team. At any rate, I believe the Bengals would probably be close to undefeated if they played in the NFC, and we'd maybe have one win if we were in their division. Right now the Browns and Ravens would crush us easily to say nothing of the Steelers.
