Re: Retire #21
The Celtic's retired Reggie Lewis number after he passed. There is no reason the Redskin's should not do the same.
My god think of all the legender players the Celtics had, it is a no brainer the Redskins should retire 21. |

Re: Retire #21
Last night when they showed Snyder doing a short interview he looked as if he had seen a gost. I heard that they had become very close over the years and I'm sure Snyder will do his best to honor ST.

Re: Retire #21
I disagree with officially retiring his number. I think retiring his number now would be only because of the way he died. I think that we should remember and honor his life. His accomplishments on and off the field, not just the fact that it ended too soon. I actually would like to see CP or another close friend wear his number for the rest of the year and unofficially retire it in the offseason. When someone's life ends I try not to focus on the end of their life but on the life they lived and those that are left behind.

Re: Retire #21
I totally forgot that he originally wore #36 when he first started.

Re: Retire #21
I would love to see someone tribute ST like the wearing of his number, water works would turn on everywhere when that happens....

Re: Retire #21
I think that they should retire his number too! I am devastated as well. I really can't believe this has happened and feel like this is surreal, similar to how they were explaining the sentiment at Redskins Park. He will be greatly missed as a person and a player. I feel deeply sorry for his family and friends as they lost a son, a father, brother, fiance, a friend. He is irreplaceable and I know that we will never forget his play on the field as fans and more importantly the person he was becoming. I love the way he played, the sky the limit for him with his tremendous talent (he was having his best season ever and a sure pro baller as well though that is extremely minor in respect to this horrific heart piercing tragedy) and I loved the way the Redskins players called him Sean "BIG HURT" Taylor. I know that he will always be in our hearts.

Re: Retire #21
I agree, there are too many great players that should have their number retired before they retire 21.

Re: Retire #21
I thought about starting a thread about this, but figured I'd just keep it in the tribute thread.
Just like the Eagles did for Jerome Brown, I think it should be done here. While we're at it, retire the other jersey's too. #44, #9, #28, #7, #81. |

Re: Retire #21
I agree that they need to do something but there is one thing that Snyder really needs to do. That is to put a very large bounty out for any information leading to the arrest of ST killer.
