2 things that are really bothering me

I just can't find any excuse for anyone to be chanting anything during a moment of silence. Call it stubborn and thick-headed, I just don't see it.

Of course, they had no problem hooting and hollering while the players were in the red zone...and then being silent when the Bills were on offense most of the game. This is what I heard at least.

And then today, of all days, to be booing the coaches and players. Give it a fucking rest you morons.

Seriously, did they really?? If so, and you were there to actually hear that, well, that really blows. I don't care what the coaches and players did wrong today, they all get a pass from me considering what they've endured.

I REALLY doubt they were booing the players. I definitely know they were booing Gibbs for that bogus timeout at the end. But I think 99% of fans are very sensitive to everything that has happened and its probably best to ask people who went to the game what the booing was all about.

I really really hope it wasn't at the players. I'd like to think that we as fans have more sense than that.

how can you not ask? Its not like we are asking for an extra few days cause the entire team went binge drinking and are hungover. Our best player was murdered, the entire team is flying down to pay respects and that leaves us ONE normal practice day to prepare for a NFL game with major playoof implications

i didnt watch or listen to any post game yesterday, so i am finding out for the first time that gibbs said he didnt know about the missing man tribute. this disgusts me. we must transition to a gregg williams head coached team now, in hopes of a great season next year. i think gibbs handled the press, fans and team great this week, something he can continue to do as redskins president for the remainder of his contract, a title that he currently has.

I missed the moment of silence that game but i can't believe that the washington fans were being derespectful. To be booing the players after going out and giving it there all is completely wrong especially after such a tough week. I did watch the Green Bay-Dallas game and i was actually surprised on how quiet it was, i'm glad the fans in Texas Stadium showed the respect they did because Sean Taylor deserves it....

Also to mention about the game being moved. I seen the question asked to Lovie Smith and he said that the bears would have no problem with that. To me that shows class and that the Skins want to go ahead and play the game.

I've been a loyal reader of Warpath (the best Fan Site) for a couple years now. I haven't posted until now, but feel the need to speak up for the "fans" at yesterday's game. I was at the game yesterday as a birthday present from my girlfriend. It was a surprise gift that was long since planned, but I just found about Saturday evening. As it turns out it will go down as one of the most emotional games in our beloved franchise and one I will never forget.

I see some generic comments in some of today's threads questioning the actions of the "fans" at yesterday's game especially during the moment of silence. I was there to witness the entire event. There were three people. Count them three people that I heard at game that did not observe the moment of silence. One person from the endzone visitor's side said "We love you Sean Taylor." Another person from behind the home bench said something to the effect of "We miss you Sean". The third person from the endzone lower deck said some long drawn out sentence that made no sense (I suspect this person threw too many back during the tailgate party prior to the game). These were simple comments that I agree were inappropriate during the moment of silence, but came across very clearly throughout the stadium. And why? Because FedEx was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. 90,000+ true Redskins Fans honored Sean with a moment of silence. Please do not lump three people with the collective group of Fans at yesterday's game. In fact millions of tears were shed for Sean yesterday. There weren't many dry eyes in the stadium after the video tribute and the moment of silence. I've been and will always be a die hard Redskins fan forever. We fans were at the game and I'm a firm believer you will not find better fans in the NFL than Redskins fans. It was an emotional day for everyone involved in yesterday's game...not just for the players...not just for the coaching staff...but for the fans as well. We honored Sean yesterday. We did not disrespect him. I was there to witness it.

Of all the images that come to mind from yesterday's game I want to share the one I will take away forever. During the video tribute there was a picture of Sean. Projecting from the jumbotron for all to see it looked like Sean was standing on the side of practice field in his Redskins uniform without his helmet on. Here was one of most fiercest competitors ever to put on a Redskins uniform with the biggest smile on his face looking as happy as one can be standing there holding his 18 month old daughter. He looked very proud. He died trying to protect that same little girl. And for that…from this loyal Redskins Fan…Sean we are proud of you. You will be a Redskin forever.

As I have said before, the "cheering" that occured during the moment of silence was directly attributed to a guy yelling, "we love you sean!". I do not think those that cheered meant any disrespect, they simply burst out (briefly) at the cry of what most were thinking. That is just my take, and I was there, for what its worth.

As for booing the players, maybe it happened (to a small degree) but iit certainly did not happen on a widespread basis- don't judge the whole based on the actions of a few. While I disagree with booing, I do believe its each individual fans right- these are proffessional athletes and coaches- we pay their outrageous salaries. I realize and agree that it may have not been the time or the place, but these people invest their time, money, and emotions into the redskins, and I can identify with their urge to react, however untimely.
