Re: Live Feed For Sean's Funeral

Boy, were him and Buck Ortega close or what? I knew they played ball in high school and at the U, but they were literally tied at the hip.

He said he really regretted that they grew apart when Sean came to the NFL. He basically said Sean was responsible for him coming to Washington, D.C. He said Tayor taught him so much about the business side of the NFL and how your image is so important.

Buck told two funny stories about Taylor: He said he remembered missing his first football curfew because he was with Sean Taylor that night. The crowd laughed. Then he told another (opposite order) about a time they went spear fishing and how Taylor dove in the water and swam near the bottom and came right back up. Ortega said, Sean you know need time to equalize. You just can't dive that deep, come right back to the surface and start doing stuff (paraphrasd). Taylor said, he was okay. Ortega said that was the first time he knew Sean Taylor wasn't all human.

Re: Live Feed For Sean's Funeral

i'm watching it on NFL network and it's been making my eyes water. I know sean is in a better place and even though i wasn't a big redskins fan i loved watching that kid play. I love all the stories about him because i didn't know much about him off the field untill this week and he sounds like a great guy. 12th man i also wanted to say sorry about the whole Brett Favre thing i don't know if you remember but we had a little disagreement about him. I'm a huge Favre fan but i do feel sorry about getting into it with you. I know it's not important now but i just thought i should tell ya....

Dude, no apologies necessary. I was being a complete ass myself. That entire week I was full of myself for whatever the reason with the whole hate Green Bay thing. I probably was on my period or something.

I hope this Sean Taylor incident will make us all appreciate the talent and the great playes we have with us.

It's ironic that Taylor's last interception was thrown by Favre and here we are apologizing for a spat. Life is funny, huh?

hey we're just two guys passionate about our teams right? ha ha. The death of Sean really has helped me change a lot of my daily actions, i don't go a day without telling my wife that i love her because you never know when your time comes. Like i said i'm a huge Brett Favre and if he had to set the mark for career interceptions i'm glad Sean Taylor was the man who helped him. It's nice that his last interception was one that will go in the record books (or atleast it should)

I've been strong throughout this whole ordeal but this is very moving. Lavar we still love you and it was great to see you up there pouring your heart out as a man. Clinton showed his friendship was untested and true. Sad, Sad, Sad

Re: Live Feed For Sean's Funeral

Ortega told another story how in high school Taylor would hurdle right over players that running straight up as opposed to diving at the ankles. (remember he played running back). He said Taylor would do this repeatedly. Finally after the team made it to the playoffs, Ortega said, hell, if Sean could do it so can I. Ortega remembers trying it and taking an opposing helmet in the chest cavity. He said Taylor didn't let him live it down for about two years.

Florida City Mayor is calling out the media right now, at least he's acknowledging that it wasn't the entire media
