Re: LaRon Landry's hit

All I have to say about LaRon Landry is that we have found our new FS.

Re: LaRon Landry's hit

Great hit and sometimes its hard to fault a player for getting pumped up. With that said he does need to learn to lay the wood then walk away.

Re: LaRon Landry's hit

LL took a stupid penalty.

That said, he also left a message for every wide receiver in the league that the spirit of ST lives... Come deep on us and you will be trashed. Get ready to see alligator arms again, I can't wait...

I think GW didn't mind if ST had a little late hit and stuff like that but taunting after the play is a little different.

Re: LaRon Landry's hit

Quality hit, as the replays showed him close in big time to make the play. He made a rookie mistake with the taunt, but he was in the heat of the moment. Unfortunately, it was 2 weeks in a row for him, and hence why where is more attention to it.

He's doing an awesome job in centerfield roaming around for #21. He's going to be a Pro Bowler in a short time.

Re: LaRon Landry's hit

Landry had another one in the second half in the end-zone. Same thing, coming across the field in support and just creaming Burress, although it was the one that Smoot broke up. He still crushed Burress, and I don't know that he would have been able to hang onto it even if he had caught it.

Re: LaRon Landry's hit

stupid, stupid mistake,If I was Gibbs he would be fined for stupidity,2 weeks in a row and it let the other team score in both cases, were just very lucky it didnt cost us either game, but what if it had? Plus when they were showing landry on the sideline after the play and another player looked like he was getting on to him about the penalty,it looked to me like he had a smirk or was smiling like whatever dude, that pissed me off

Re: LaRon Landry's hit

I'd love to see any video highlights posted. The town of Leesburg lost power 30 minutes prior to kickoff. Since I had to stay home with my son, I ended up listening to the entire game on my car radio.

Re: LaRon Landry's hit

Idiotic penalty, he better decide if he's here to win or to make highlight reels? I think he is a natural free safety, he hits hard but nothing like Taylor did, but I do think Williams may have had the 2 of them in the wrong positions, Landry may be a better free safety over all.

Re: LaRon Landry's hit

I don't like the penalty but Sean used to do the same kind of things. I want him to put fear in the recievers. Laron has great range, i really hope GW keeps him at free safety.

Re: LaRon Landry's hit

We are in the playoff hunt so I was a little upset but if we weren't playing for anything I wouldn't care install that fear LL. LL was clearly the best pick in the draft. Gaines Adams, Jamal Anderson & others in the draft that we were arguing over isn't playing at the level LL is he doing damn good. To be the first rookie to start opening day in GW defense says alot about the kid alone.

Re: LaRon Landry's hit

I believe the taunting penalty has only been enforced in very recent seasons. Not making excuses for Landry though, he should know the rules. Still, I believe penalites should be limited to illegal moves in the game or moves that will or meant to injure, rather than stuff like taunting and excessive celebration UNLESS it causes a delay of game.
