What a tragedy. He was really coming into his own as one of the best Hollywood actors of his generation.

Yeah, it's not everyday something happens like this. RIP Heath Ledger, I really liked some of his movies.

really sad, i liked his movies, i was just watching saturday the movie The Patriot with him and mel gibson and i was thinking how far him and julia stiles had come from the old teen flick they had made long ago 10 thing i hate about you. very sad he was a really good actor.. rip

a really tragic story as others have pointed out mainly because he's leaving behind a 2 year old daughter and had really made it as a big time actor at the age of just 28. Michael Cain had numerous interviews talking about Ledger's incredible ability in taking on the role of the Joker in the upcoming "Dark Knight." I've seen it reported that he's had bouts of depression in his past and unfortunately signs are pointing to that catching up to him but whatever the reason it's just a very sad ending for someone who was just coming into his own.

I was saying the same thing to someone at work after a friend had called and told me. They both were at a point in their careers where the world was their oyster and drugs took them both.

I'm not a tabloid reader or anything, but I've never seen anything negative about him. It's not like we're talking about Lindsay Lohan or anything. Such a shame.
