Redskin fans need to be cautious here. In some ways, Danny Boy might be the NFL's heir aparent to Al Davis as "the goofy owner". Think about this...
Al Davis used to know football. He coached the Raiders. He was their GM and is still the de facto GM there. And he had the team in a bunch of Super Bowls and won a couple too. Now, he's "losing it" - - to be polite about it - - but he just keeps playing his role as owner/GM/advisor to head coach/etc. Danny Boy THINKS he knows football. He'll never coach the Redskins - - he wouldn't dare try to do THAT would he? - - but he is the owner and "shadow GM" and draft day advisor (remember Patrick Ramsey) and weekly confidant of the head coaches. Trouble is, he's been around for a decade and hasn't yet sniffed a Super Bowl. What happens when Danny Boy starts "losing it"...?

Snyder may be stupid, but Davis is borderline insane (not to mention senile). As the lesser of two evils, I'll take stupidity before insanity.

Apparently we're worse than the Raiders, because we fired Williams before they fired Kiffin. Good times.
