I wish Daniel Snyder would just name Fassell the friggin' head coach so we can get this whole mystery over with. Every report I've heard, from John Clayton on ESPN to Bram Winestein (sp?) on Redskins Radio, says Fassell is going to be the choice. The Giants will throw a whole bunch of money at Spags to keep him as D-Coordinator. Snyder will try to counter, but he needs to remember we will have to sign draft picks, possibly re-structure contracts so we don't lose people, and go after some free agents. In my opinion, as long as Daniel Snyder is the owner, the Redskins will NEVER win a Super Bowl. He's too worried about making the almighty dollar than doing what's good for the Redskins, a team (I believe) he said he loved and watched growing up.

I am not a Snyder guy, but of all the dumb things Snyder does putting making money above winning is not one of them.

If he really was all about making money, he could make things a lot easier on himself by not having the highest player and coach payroll in the league each year.

By the way coaches salaries have nothing to do with the cap.

I agree. He's increased Redskins revenue by hundreds of millions of dollars over the last 8 years. He can't spend the money on players, why not spend it on coaches?
