The 1st 3 predictions were a tretch in themselves

The 4th?....Its gonna be tough when we have the ball for over 35 minutes a game and run for 200 yards a game

Your DL might as well put on some wigs because they are gonna be our ..well..you know...

you know what would be awesome, for Cooley to put up better numbers then winslow, that would KICK ASS!

Hogskin, thanks for the complement. I agree Washington was the biggest strech for a prediectoin, but ive got a good feeling.

Other than 2nd in the East I agree with him. I think the Eagles are over rated and we can fight them for the East crown.

My predictions:

* Redskins win East
* Portis an MVP candidate
* Taylor fights DeAngelo Hall for defensive rookie of the year
* Either Upshaw or Daniels make the probowl (I said it first!)
* Gibbs is Coach of the Year
* Brunell starts the 1st 3 games, Ramesy takes over because of an injury and finishes the season strong for us.
Everything except the Ramsey part right there. We'll be headed to the toilet bowl if Ramsey is leading this team. He's not buying into the Brunell deal. He didn't when it happened and he still doesn't.

I think the surprise players this year will be Gari Scott, Marcus Washington and Campbell and McCollough. McCants will have his best year with Brunell.

you make those assumptions as if any of them are going to play, with the exception of washington of course. McCants will get playing time, but it will be hard to have a better year then last year with all these receivers, plus cooley and the other tes

la73, you realize this is s kins site right? lol... i personally wouldn't talk about running 200 yds when the skins are the ones with portis

i mean, sure having the ball for 35 minutes would be great, but when the skins have it for 42 minutes, dallas is gonna be in trouble.

I stand by my post...

I have mentioned over there and I will one again mention it..this time here

Portis will not the type of success he did in Denver

Bust? No way..

1200 yards would be a good season considering the defenses in this division,

The defenses in the AFC West all finished in the 20's

You guys dont have the OL to dominate like we do

ai yi yi yi. Hes not averaging 7 a carry for the same reason all the topbacks arent, he doesnt play in preseason.

And we'll see if Vinny has a 70 percent completion perectage come the regular season. My guess is that Taylor picks him off three times on the monday night game, then he gets so frusterated that he lets his guard down and Arrington ends his season, heh.

You only talked about our dline, want to discuss our starting linebackers?

Aikman was on his last legs that season anyways..his back was more of a concern than his concussions...and his concussion problems were very well documented

Sure VT is 40 but according to BP, VT, LB for LB is the strongest guy on the team keeps himself in tremendous shape

VT @ 40 is better physically than Troy was @ 34

Sure lets..Arrington is the equivalent of McNabb @ the LB position..talented but way overrated

Arrinton is a big play/bad play type very good speed, athleticism with excellent range. He is a good blitzer but prone to being out of position and personal fouls. He's also playing with with a small tear in his ACL

But, like so many players on your team, he's goona kill your cap in '06

Barrow, in case you didnt know, was hand picked by Buddy Ryan back in '93 when Buddy took over in Houston after the Houston debacle @ Bufflao in the divisional

Barrow is still a good player with tenacity, but, like Trotter, how long will his knees hold up?

I like Washington...young big and fast

It is very apparent Williams is going to use these guys a lot in the blitz...so there will be a lot of pressure on Smoot, Springs and your nickel back

Against the run, your DL better do a good job occupying opposing OL

Taylor is gonna be a terrific pro but will take his lumps early...a reason Im glad we play you guys early in the year @ DC so we can confuse him in coverage

As far as VT goes,,,Im not expecting him to complete 70% of his passes...The low 60's will be just fine...again, comparing him to your QB's isnt the point (even though Vinny in this sytem is a good comparison)...comparing him to QuINTcy Retarder is...and the upgrade will be very apparent

We ran for 1999 yards last year with Troy Shitbrick as our feature back...now with Julius Jones, George and an improved OL, I expect the rushing yards to increase bu a couple hundred...

lol, so you just came here to start flame wars then?

portis isn't averaging 7ypc cause he hasn't screened out and broken plays wide open... the one screen he had he got 22 yds on...

its nice that you think henson is good vs scrubs, call me when he wins a game though.

I'm going to hold that to you, la73!

Seriously though, for a Cowboys fan you seem alright! You know your stuff, even about the Redskins, and you give an outside opinion which is a nice change from time to time. I think you're a bit overzealous about your offense though. I think you and the Ravens will be fighting for 2nd to last.

I appreciate the Kudos there Daseal..Ive been around these boards long enough to know that diplomacy and respect is the key to getting along...

and 2nd to last to last on O? nest to the Ravens?

Talk about the proverbial kick in the nuts!!

Check out Monday nites game...you just may not recognize our offense

Even Cowboy fans havent come to recognize the contribution our offense is gonna make..they are still under the QC/Hambrick/Campo/Cosley/Reilly moribund offensive hangover of the last 3 years...and heck we havent even had a decent, cinsistant offense since '98--the 1st year of Gailey

Honestly, my biggest concerns right now are on D..we have a problem @ DT next to Glover (hence the signing of Eaton)..we have had major problems stopping the interior run@ that spot @ safety where Dixon, Davis who have been filling in for Woody have been atrocious and @ CB across from Newman..Pete Hunter, a former 5th rounder from Va Union (who BP has compared to Marcus Coleman) is gonna take his lumps early

And even with the addition of Wiley and moving Ellis from LDE to RDE, our pass rush still hasnt sacked the QB in 2 games

Now, in fairness if weve blitzed the QB 4 times in 2 games that would be a lot,,a dn as BP has stated "we are just running plays"..no gameplanning

This is gonna be the most enjoyable year for us in quite sometime..not to mention the cap room we still have along with a total of 9 draft picks (2 1sts) going into '05...th present looks good and the future great
