Re: Michael Vick has a new job after prison

The Vikings or Lions could definitely use him, and personally I'd like to see him get back into the league. In no way do I condone his actions, but I still feel bad about all the stupid crap PETA made him go through. Just seems a little over-the-top. He knows he messed up, he did his time, he should be welcomed back.

I agree. He screwed up, but he's paid his debt to society. He should be able to find work, real work. He shouldn't be handcuffed because of what he did a few years ago. He should be able to move on and live a life.

I always thought that FedEx should get those things in our three big rivals logo so when we are playing Dallas we could leak on the star and so on for the Giants and Eagles.

I have dogs, I love dogs, my, and I agree with you, Vick's done his time, he certainly paid his price, it's time to move on. PETA made a ton from Vick's tortured dogs, and now they are demanding he be barred from the NFL unless he submits to a brain scan to prove he’s not a psychopath. I mean, c'mon..

Not this again.

We had a big animal rights discussion about this when he was in prison. All this thread is going to do is turn into a animal vs. man debate.

Re: Michael Vick has a new job after prison

Here's a question to all the lawyers...

Since Vick is a football player, and his trade is football, is it legal for anyone to bar him from performing his trade? I seem to remember this issue when Maurice Claret sued the NFL.

Re: Michael Vick has a new job after prison

Although debatable, debt that must be paid to society for wrongdoings, regardless of what they are, are measured and determined by the penal systems of the state (in this case, VA). Vick has paid these debts, and should therefore be welcomed back. His legal troubles should be behind him. If you do not like it, say something to your congressman. Its not Vick's fault that you may feel his punishment was not enough... With that said, it is still funny to think of him changing out urinal "mints" at FedEx field. Good luck Mike!

They used to have the Dallas Star on the women's bathroom at Veteran's stadium.

Re: Michael Vick has a new job after prison

I agree. What he did was horrible, but he paid his debt, did his time, so there's no reason that he shouldn't be able to play football.

I hope Goodell doesn't feel the need to suspend him for a year or two. Vick paid his debt to society, let him play.

I love dogs too but screw PETA. Everybody i know thinks they're a bunch of pychos themselves.
