Re: Thumbs Up Thumbs Down
Thumbs ups:
- Defense, as always.. Even without Haynesworth in the lineup.. I'm pretty surprised how Smoot played well today.. Also I'm sort of disappointed that Blache didn't try to take advantage of Dallas' new RT, Free; should have tried to abuse him with Orakpo or blitz more on his side.. - The 3 young receivers making clutch plays - Rock Cartwright, I believe he proved us all wrong for wanting him out of the Redskins uniform.. - O-line, although they didn't play that great but due to the circumstances; Rinehart out, rookie Edwin Williams filled in.. And Dallas's front 7 are pretty good.. - Campbell played really well in the game.. He hung in to make the throws, while acknowledging that he will absorb hits.. The last pass, it was just freak.. It happens to every QB sometimes.. Thumbs downs: - Suisham, he missed two FGs.. Many of you guys think Suisham is joke, before this game, he had made significant improvement; he made all FGs (12-12) but then this game, I don't know what happened.. First FG is sort of understable, he was pretty much iced for more than 6 minutes due to referees' mistakes.. - I pretty much can't think of anything else that was bad in the game; we won the game.. But unfortunately, the scoreboard says otherwise so.. |

Re: Thumbs Up Thumbs Down
I'm thinking that maybe, at the beginning of the game, Dallas were running down into middle.. Blache probably then had the guys to focus onto middle ground, but I don't know if that's the significant reason why we didn't take the advantage though..

Re: Thumbs Up Thumbs Down
Yeah, they did run effectively, but there were some pretty obvious passing downs as well I thought.

Re: Thumbs Up Thumbs Down
I agree Grid, we won this damn game.. I still think we could win 6 games this yr, but it really don't matter anyway.

Oh yeah, one other thumbs up... Devin Thomas. On kickoffs, and as a WR is he starting to get it?

Re: Thumbs Up Thumbs Down
DT is playing like he has something to prove....which I guess he does, but he's doing it.

His goal this week in practice should be to show ARE how to break arm tackles.

Re: Thumbs Up Thumbs Down
I don't think that we've seen enough of him before to be able to say that he didn't "have it" before. They're just utilizing him properly now. Nobody ever mentioned bad hands or goes down easy, the only thing really was some minor rumblings about not completely familiar with playbook. Same thing said for Davis... okay, so you give it to them on what they DO know.. and it's done pretty well for us.

Re: Thumbs Up Thumbs Down
Thumbs up: For a defense that has played well enough for the team to be a playoff contender in just about every game thus far.
Thumbs down: For an offense that continues to struggle scoring points, last weeks game was an exception not the rule. It has to be tough for a defense having to play behind an offense that's so lethargic. |

Re: Thumbs Up Thumbs Down
Thumbs up: Rock Cartwright is a pretty good all around player. I've always thought he'd be pretty good behind an ok line. I even thought he's Betts equal, if not a little better. Great game.
Defense played a great game. Down: Suisham. I still can't figure out how we lost this one. What the hell? |

Re: Thumbs Up Thumbs Down
Thumbs Up: Almost forgot. I think JC. He seemed to make alot of plays. However we only scored 6 pts. I'm confused.

Re: Thumbs Up Thumbs Down
Thumbs up for playing without:
Samuels Thomas Rinehart (most of the game) Portis Betts Haynesworth Horton Cooley And still almost beating the Cowboys in their home, Suisham makes those 2 field goals and we win. I like what I'm seeing for next year, the less the stars are on the field the better this team plays, coincidence?
