Re: Who Is Our 2009 Offensive MVP?
I said Fred Davis. The guy came out of nowhere and got it done. Especially after his first debut where his blocking was absolutely horrid, after that we never heard about his terrible blocking, meaning he must've improved. Guy was ridiculously hard to bring down after the catch, it was like he was a bigger Cooley. I can see him being like a big Antonio Gates in his prime, in the future.
Devin Thomas comes in a close second place, seeing as he made huge strides this season. But not quite MVP worthy. But he did prove he's good enough to grab a #1 receiver spot.

Re: Who Is Our 2009 Offensive MVP?
I voted Cooley cuz he's the only offensive player that didn't really piss me off this year.
In reality Sherm Lewis is the only viable choice, maybe Davis. |

Re: Who Is Our 2009 Offensive MVP?
If Cooley or Davis had each played a whole season, they'd be an easy choice for the award. In the absence of the ability to vote for REDSKINS TE, the obvious choice is Jason Campbell.

Re: Who Is Our 2009 Offensive MVP?
I'm rolling with Fred Davis. If you're not playing, then you simply don't qualify. Awards aren't given based on what might have happened, but what did happen. And seeing that the Redskins have only won 4 games, how many of those did Cooley help us win?
I think JC's recent success and Davis' are definitely related. Fact is, Davis knows what to without the ball as well as with the ball. He's running good routes, creating mismatches, and capitalizing after each catch. This is the argument some here were making against Roy Williams; If you ain't open homie, you ain't getting the ball. But I digress. |

Re: Who Is Our 2009 Offensive MVP?
I'm sure we will all be anxiously waiting to see just who the team names for the award. I can't possibly see them naming anyone who has not been mentioned here. Slim pickins this year, let's just hope that next year we get some performances from players on the offensive side of the ball that will makes the selection process more difficult.

Good for JC pulling a strong showing...
I really hope Shanny sees the value in him and does not waste the first pick with a QB but probably not sigh

Re: Who Is Our 2009 Offensive MVP?
Now that I think about it, it might be Zorn.....He single handedly sucked so bad we are finally got rid of Cerrato and have picked up a real GM and due to his diligence and "execution" we will actually have a new HC and staff next season.
Zorn for MVP. |

JC of course. It is almost a no brainer with this poll. Davis is a close second though.

Re: Who Is Our 2009 Offensive MVP?
Campbell has put up with a lot beginining in the offseason and the reports swirling about his playing time and future, and then in the season when he was working behind a make shift offensive line. The guy has heart and he has class.

Jason Campbell. One must respect his fortitude amidst the folly of this offense and this season.

Because the defense is better, somehow.
