Re: Add my friend as a facebook friend
lol honestly, that's basically what I use it as. I don't even bother getting on AIM more than a handful of times a month.

I'm not being mean, but she looks like some of those webcam spambots I get in Facebook sometimes...

Re: Add my friend as a facebook friend
Being younger and using facebook from the day I started undergrad, I dont have as pessimistic of an attitude about it.
There are privacy concerns, but with settings and simply not accepting everyone that can be mitigated. Also its obvious not all of those people are your friends. I use it more as a networking tool. It is a really easy way to stay in touch with old college buddies and maybe just connections that you have. It can always help down the road if you are interviewing, need a lift in a random town, etc. It can hurt as well. Pretty much my thoughts about facebook in a nutshell.

Re: Add my friend as a facebook friend
After you friend this girl I'd love to tell you about an amazing investing opportunity I can facilitate for you through my friend Pierre Ngendo. He is the son of the deposed president of Zamunda and he needs to transfer money to the US. Email me and I'll tell you more.

Re: Add my friend as a facebook friend
the link is now down, maybe facebook maintenance, but my friend Andrew just said that she is now starting to get friends like crazy.
I'll admit, this person could be trying for something like Tila Tequila, although from what she said, i really thought she was different.

Re: Add my friend as a facebook friend
Wait, is she your real friend (like you've actually met her in person prior to accepting her friend request on facebook) or someone you only know from the interwebs?

Re: Add my friend as a facebook friend
to the OP...a few points, and i preface this with IF she is real...
1. you say shes new to the area so she needs facebook friends...well most of us on here arent from northern virginia, so how will us adding her help her get situated in the area? 2. even the people that do add her will never meet her, talk to her, or improve her life in any way 3. if she really wants you and your brother to get her facebook friends, then this is someone you shouldnt be talking to anyway, sounds like a nutjob. just my 2 cents.
