I never thought that about the Pats either. We should have been able to prevent the Pats from going over fifty on us. That's on US, not them.

I can honestly say it didn't bother me one bit. I remember some people here were kind of hot under the collar about it, but I think it's just cool to hate Belichick and that was one more reason to do it.

It's the Skins fault that they let the Pats dropped 50 on them.

Brookings has always been an overrated douche.. I was in Atlanta for his first 5-6 years and he was SO overrated but the local fans rode his jock because he went to GA Tech. The Cowboys got what they deserved, quit whining and stop them.

Yeah but none of the Redskins players cried about it. Furthermore, the Cowboys were talking a bit of trash (Sensabaugh) during the week.

Yeah,I agree,I thought it was classless and something Joe Gibbs would never do.But since it was the cowboys woohoo!
I didnt like it because as soon as it happenned I knew that this would be the talk of the town, should they have or shouldnt they?,blah blah blah. And now if Favre gets hurt theyll say it was karma, serves him right, blah blah blah

I have no problems that the Vikings scored again that late, and I LOVE the fact that dallass is whining about it....but that being said, if Ware or someone else came unblocked on one of those passing plays and laid Favre out and hurt his shoulder or something, he and the rest of the Vikings would have felt pretty stupid.

Re: Vikings Run Up The Score: Brooking vs. Pat Williams

I think it is also fair to say the officiating was quite tilted in Dallas's favor. The series where Favre was laid out after the whistle was blown dead for an offsides call was atrocious. There were 4-5 bad calls against Minnesota on that drive alone.

As for the score, if I recall, Minnesota needed a first down to keep the ball and were up by three scores. I can see why Dallas was annoyed, but it wasn't nearly as egregious as Brady throwing in the fourth quarter against the Skins when up by 40+ points in a regular season non-conference game.

I know why Brookings was hot under the collar, he was in the heat of the game...what I don't understand is why Phillips opened his fat mouth afterward. That just reeks of sour grapes and he should know better. Gibbs only response to the Pats running up the score was that "we should have stopped them."

I agree with Pat Williams, Brookings must understand this is the NFL not the please have mercy league. If you don't want them to score there's something called "stop them"

Theres a reason why the other 10 cowboys on defense were walking back to the bench after the vikes got that "kiss our asses" TD. Come on Keith give it up.

Thats a stretch. Tony Romo by all accounts is a good guy that gets way to much flack around here. To be honest only thing Romo seems to be guilty of in my eyes is horrible taste in relation to a certain ex-girlfriend.

Anyway you asked for it.

Keep in mind I hate Dallas and was happy to see them loose, but I never really understood the hate geared towards Tony Romo, especially when other guys like DeMarcus Ware are given a fair amount of respect around here.

Well again, I think this was more about the Vikings and the naysayers than the Cowboys. They were being told all week how the Cowboys were on such a roll and how Romo had this so called monkey off his back and how he can relax now blah, blah, blah. And like Childress said, they were just fed up by Tuesday. So I think they just wanted to shove it down everyone's collective throats, not just Dallas'.

If this weekend proves anything, it goes to show that you have to play the game. Everything is earned this time of the year and nothing can be taken for granted.

The Chargers made a ton of mental mistakes today. Antonio Gates had a few easy ones dropped, Philip Rivers wasn't crisp at all, Vincent Jackson kicking the flag, three missed FGs by an All-Pro kicker, the head-butt down in the red zone. It was a meltdown; That's coaching if you ask me. LT looked totally deflated during his presser. I think he just wants to move on at this point in his career. I thought it was very telling that he responded to a reporter and said, look, this isn't the first time this has happened to us this late in the season.

The only time I think it is unacceptable and running up the score in the NFL is if it's within two minutes and there is a 3 score lead. Then, kneel it. Otherwise, keep scoring.

Re: Vikings Run Up The Score: Brooking vs. Pat Williams

I would like to say gentlemen that is has been a very sad and dark year in Redskin nation, with the final loss we have opened the curtains and let sunlight in. I believe we have made the changes we needed to make and our life will be brighter with a new coach and front office. I have a giant freaking smile on my face knowing that Eaglets, Cowgirls and that other team will not be in the Superbowl this year either. The smashing, bashing, crushing, and stomping defeat that the cowboys were handed today was a joy to watch.

NEXT YEAR WE MAKE THE PLAYOFFS THIS I GUARANTEE!!! If we don't I will put up 100 dollars to help support this forum.

Looking forward to draft my friends,,,,,can't freaking wait.

P.S. Vikes were practicing their two minute offense at the end, to damn funny.
