Re: no cap- why care what's spent?
Does anyone want to make the argument for over-spending? Is there one?
As it stands right now, the Redskins are spending a lot, but they are not paying any premiums to below average players. They could probably increase everyone's salary 15-20% and not kill their budget for this season, but paying to performance has never been the M.O. of our front office, nor really anyone elses ('cept perhaps, Philly).

It really was not alot of talent in the UFA pool this year. Most guys have/had injury history or were overrated to begin with. I mean damn, spend money just to spend money? That sh*t doesnt make sense, we have done that the last ten years and failed horribly.
My educated guess is the cap comes back in some form and now we will be better prepared to get guys we need with the salaries we have dumped. Guys there is a plan this time and I feel the dumping of salaries and age is step one. Let the next steps play out before we jump all over the FO.
