I don't have inside connections, but i'd break it down this way:

Tennessee - 50%
Washington - 25%
New York Giants - 10%
The Field - 10%
Tampa Bay - 5%

What I think would be really interesting - Skins send Haynesworth and Carter to the Rams for Carriker and their 2nd round draft pick.
What makes Tenn a leader? I don't get it.

^ Now that would be crazy. Carriker is not better than Haynesworth in no way shape or form... as a matter of fact he has been a bust in STL. Why would you trade 2 proven vets for a bust and a non proven commidy- come on man!

I'd hope that we'd get more than just Carriker

Yeah I think there would have to be a draft pick or two included in that deal.

IF we can soften the financial burden for whatever team takes him, we could end up getting a 2nd round (+ a 4/5 perhaps?) from some 4-3 team. It'd be like "buying" a draft pick(s).

i thought now that the skins have paid the 21 million signing bonus last week, the remaining portion of AH's contract is very reasonable for the next 3 years before a ballon roster bonus is due. roster bonuses are not guaranteed and shouldnt be factored into the equation when teams consider trading for him and evaluating his contract.

I think that Andy Pollin, Jason LaCanfora, and Mike Florio have singlehandedly created a Haynesworth controversy.

I do think that Haynesworth will be traded during the draft, if not before. But I think it will be for Offensive Tackle. Possibly Baltimore for Gaither, Indy for Johnson, Saints for Bushrod, or the Rams for Barron. Obviously there would be other players or picks tossed in for balance, but the gist of a deal is Haynesworth for an OT.

If AH is unhappy here what makes you think he would be happy playing in Baltimore in a 3-4?

AH got a big contract so he's not mad at the owner. He's in a situation where he has a better HC so it's not that. He does not have his same old positions coach for which he didn't like at the end of the season so it's not that. The only thing I can think of is it's either he does not want to be here during the off season and would prefer to be with his family or he truly dispises the 3-4. I'm thinking the latter. If he was stuck playing NT all the time and unhappy about it I could see his resentement. But the team went out and picked up a NT and said they hoped to use him as a DE. Yes he would be used as a NT once and a while, only to give the other guy a break. Can he not see what havoc he would cause with the NT we have and Him on one side and Daniels on the other? Opponents would be lost as to how to defend it.

Man I wish I had the patience to look through my old posts. Called this when we signed him. I guarantee that the Redskins were planning this from the beginning. Brilliant move in my mind, we just bought ourselves some draft picks.

i agree it will end up working out well for everyone (except Snyder who lost a ton of money for one year), but i dont think this was ever the plan. If we weren't installing a 3-4 defense, i'm pretty sure Haynesworth wouldn't be on the market.

In the end, from a football perspective, it could work out well for us. We'll have essentially bought some draft picks (or players) for 30MM or so.
