p.s. I just want to know if their graphic artist is colorblind? Do they have any concept of contrast? That web page gives me head aches, literally.

Yeah I got an account over there too, I think the name is Mooby346, but I'm not sure as I haven't logged in in a while. And you're not the only one who dislikes their scheme, I'm pretty sure the majority of people who don't like that site cite the scheme as one of the reasons it's not cool. It gives me headaches as well so you're not the only one.

EDIT: LOL, wow. I was just looking and found my name is Mooby (had to reset my password too because I lost it), and I joined there the day after I joined here back in '05.

Guess it's safe to say which one I chose.

Speaking of crazy Mods I wonder if the Bucs official board is still controlled by those insane lunatics.

Worst Mods in the history of the internet.

Re: Anyone online with an active ES account that can help me out?

I hate ES. I was a member there for 4 years and got banned in the great ES purge of 2009. It wasnt my fault. I couldnt take it anymore. There are some racist mods over there at ES, among some stupid ones.

I've got it in for Jumbo, he is who made it personal by making attacks on me, and insulting my boxrec record. I told him if he thought i sucked so much, i would come down and let him try me. The racist and ignorant things he said got it to that point. He's a bitch though, i knew exactly where he worked and he wouldnt meet me to fight. He just banned me. He knew he bit off more than he could chew.

I haven't forgot it. You fellas dont know the amount of pain i want to cause this man. If somebody ever tips me off to his real identity, i promise i'm going to give him a beating the likes of which he'll never see again in his lifetime...

Well seeing as how we elected Smootsmack I'd say it's his responsibility to look into the matter. I would love to see more nazi fun from the guys over there in Tampa.

And Tryfuhl sorry I didn't get to you earlier but I lost the password to my ES account in 2006. My account is stuck in ES purgatory with 0 post.

Am I really the only one who's wondering how an internet message board could have gotten you to this point?

What happened? What was said?

PM if you'd like, but I'm really curious

At least ES has gotten better in recent years with preventing useless threads, though they might have gone overboard in trying to make the forum more presentable. The Viking forum on the other hand is filled with personal rant and vague incomplete thread titles (ie "What if....").

Its nothing personal or private. I'm fine with telling it in front of my friends here.

This were fine from 2005 until Aug of 2009. This guy posted a thread about how John Riggins was garbage, and trashed him and blah blah blah. He was a massive Portis homer, and i think that was part to blame. I called the guy a troll, and couldnt believe that he would trash a redskin legend HOF. They banned me for 1 week.

I came back in September and went without incident, until the whole issue started on whether or not extremeskins was censored. I posted how i felt that the board was censored, but not in the way they were making it out to be. Basically saying that the Mods controlled the opinions on the board, and that threads they didn't like were always locked or deleted (100% factual)

I didn't get banned, but the mods went all crazy and stuff and basically told people that if they didn't like how the site was ran, they could go F theirselves and all this stuff. another guy spoke up and said that he thought how they were talking to people was wrong, and Jumbo (one of the owners i guess?) locked the thread and said that they can treat people however they want whenever they want, to just deal with it. Also in this thread, Jumbo made a racist reference to another poster, where he said "with questions like that, it's no wonder people hang them from trees".

(Late October 2009) The final incident: Somebody posted about censorship again (re-occuring theme, no?), and i wrote in again and said that it seemed like posts that were unpopular were always closed down, and the general feeling among members was that people were scared to post, in fear of being banned or flamed (also 100% true). I also said that looking back in hindsight, are the owners of the thread still glad that they merged in 2005 with the Redskins. I wasn't being ignorant, it's just that things were much better way back then when the redskins didn't control the board....I guess they had enough and banned me for life. Jumbo told me i was too stupid to post there and that anbody who agreed with me would be banned too. He started at me through private messages, saying a bunch of stuff, calling me a punk, disrespecting service members by calling us trained rapists, and then trashed my boxrec record.

I lost it and told him i knew where he worked (which is true, but i wont reveal), and would meet him any time he wanted, so he could see how much i sucked. I promised him that even if he should somehow win, it wouldnt be my intention to simply knock him out, but that i would try to inflict lasting and permanent injury on him...i was banned for life.

the challenge still stands, and his comments are not forgotten. Plus i have about 20 vets from ES that would have my back....

I think I remember some of this but some of your info is new to me. Just a friendly note.... be extremely careful with making any type of threats via computer. I'm not trying to be a jerk but just concerned for you. It's not how you put it out there or how you meant to say it.... it's whether the receiving party felt threatened by what was said or so thats Virginia law. If he worked or lived in VA the all he would have to do is notify the police, they would track your IP address and find out who you were, and get charges against you. It doesn't matter where you live, you could live in California but if the victim lives in VA it can be reported in VA. The charges are felonies.
LIS > Code of Virginia > 18.2-60

Quote:
A. 1. Any person who knowingly communicates, in a writing, including an electronically transmitted communication producing a visual or electronic message, a threat to kill or do bodily injury to a person, regarding that person or any member of his family, and the threat places such person in reasonable apprehension of death or bodily injury to himself or his family member, is guilty of a Class 6 felony. However, any person who violates this subsection with the intent to commit an act of terrorism as defined in § 18.2-46.4 is guilty of a Class 5 felony.
Again only looking out for your best interest even though there are times I would like to tell people what I would like to do to them also.

Yeah, I agree wholeheartidly. Internet flame wars are never worth it. I've learned that the hard way. These days I either try to make friends with people that I argue with or simply ignore them. In the case of a rascist meglomaniac I would choose the latter.

Personally reading this a while back turned out to be a real eye opener for me.

The war that is never fought – I once saw an interview with the martial artist Jet Li, who said, “I have the number one martial arts self-defense technique.” The audience was on the edge of their seats, wanting to hear this ancient secret, when Jet Li said, “The number one martial arts self-defense technique is you smile at people, because if you smile and are nice to people, they usually don’t want to fight you. Anyone who gets in a lot of fights has poor martial arts self-defense. Martial arts are a lifestyle for people who don’t want to fight.

i would have left it at that, i would have just let it alone, but the personal attacks set me off. It was immature and i'm honestly sorry for it, but still i felt something had to be done.

I know the feeling. Ironically a lot of times it's tougher to just ignore someone that's insulting you and let it roll off your back then it is to respond to an insult. The funny thing is that in all my years of arguing with people, on the internet and in real life, the thing that would get me going the most wasn't the insults, as the insults always gave me a chance to strike back. It was when people ignored me in the middle of a "fight" that I would become flustered.
