Re: Game Balls

I have got to give credit to Haslett -- he dialed up a defensive scheme (a new one for us) that held Dallas to 7 points. Pretty amazing.

Orakpo was amazing -- he was held a LOT more than was called today; they mostly called the stuff at the end where it was clear that he was in a headlock. Hall was terrific.

On the downside, what happened to Doughty? He's not our best cover guy, but I didn't think he was our worst until today. And Rabach was a freaking matador and got owned by Ratliff all day.

I'd say Trent Williams is a complete star in the making. Talk about being babtized by fire.

WE BEAT DALLAS, BABY! Hail, Hail, Hail, Hail.

Re: Game Balls

DT really helped the field position battle in the second half, but Hall and Rak get the balls.

Re: Game Balls

Trent Williams looked good to me. He held his own against a elite pass rusher and outside of a few bobbles he was solid to great. Ona few he didn't get fit but still held the block. He is going to be a monster with some experience.

We held Dallas to 7 in the first game last year too(and lost), I credit Haslett not for the defense (we were good last year) but for the aggressive mindset, the turnover, and Defensive TD's.

TW held his own, and we can be thankful we got him!

Yeah he had his hands full with Ware but overall I thought he did ok. The mistakes will get cleared up as he continues to adjust and gets experience.

Yeah at no point did he look over-matched. He has an awesome skill set.
