For better or worse free agency will address the immediate concerns along the O-Line.
You'd really take Jake Locker in the first round just so you can say we took a quarterback in the top ten? For realz?

Do you feel better about the quality of a draft prospect so long as you reach for him? That would explain why you feel that you can't find good quarterbacks later on in the draft.

Not just to say. It depends on other factors such as how the coaching staff views him as a fit in this system and where his stock is at on draft day. Obviously right now it's looking more and more like Locker could easily be a late first round pick. However the main point is if the coaching staff views him as a franchise QB we have to take him.

I love the draft. I just hope we have some newer and better intelligence scouting for the team now.

Best Player Available. We have holes all over the place, get the best talent you can. Personally, I would love to see a big NT be drafted, but they don't grow on trees.

Re: Skins have 10th overall selection. Who do we pick?

We should trade down for more picks, then draft O line or D line with the top 3 picks that we have. I am not sold on any of the quarter's after Luck and truth be told remember how high everyone was on Locker last year and now look at how they feel about him. This is not to say he won’t be good but we need to build an O line before we even think about trying to bring a quarterback here. Rex has only been in the league 8 years he knows the system he could be a good stop gap until we put things together. We are not going anywhere right now anyway. We need to rebuild the right way which takes time and good drafting sprinkle in a few young free agents, and then we may have something to talk about.

With so many holes to fill I'm sure we all have a wish list when it comes to the draft. How active, and who we pursue during the free agency period will have a major impact on the draft strategy. It's not difficult to see where the team needs are. I would start by concentrating on both the offensive and defensive lines, most of all sorting out the QB situation.

the skins can't wait until 2012 to draft a QB.the 2011 draft should be used to get a QB,OL,RB and WR [in that order].the defence can be upgraded with free agents.

The glowing weakness is on defense, especially, defensive line. We need a true beast at NT. We need fresh legs there and the journeymen that we have now need to be challenge with youth. Bryant needs a playmate to bring the best out of him.

Re: Skins have 10th overall selection. Who do we pick?

Guys we have the 10th pick..Panthers,49ers, Cardinals, all need QB's. I honestly think now that Luck has declared to go back to Standford.. our best QB option would be to wait till the 2012 season and build our D line or LB corps! We had a horrible season as far as sacks are concerned and this draft is loaded with defensive ends and OLB-DE's for 3-4 defenses... I hope and pray that with our 10th pick..just like how lucky we were to get Osackpo...(BTW he was projected a top 5 rd1 pick 2 yrs ago) and we landed him LUCKILY at 13..... what im trying to say ya'll is that WE need to go after a DE or OLB opposite Orakpo or on the D-line. Now with AH more than likely being shipped out for a crap late round pick... who are we going to have on that D-line guys??? No one that we can count on to get to the QB.. All we have is orakpo and carriker and now we signed Anthony Bryant, he will be a strong NT for us..

Let me stop talking lol
I HOPE WE GET ROBERT QUINN or DEQUAN BOWERS or MARCEL DAREUS
Guys we are going to be a bust if we draft a QB.. these qb's are MEDIOCRE at best.. Grossman is even better than the stock coming out. Locker is a joke im tellin you.. we can get a stud in 2012...
STICK to DEFENSE 1st rd, if we have Tyrod Taylor 2nd rd QB option get him.. 3rd rd, O-LINE, 4th rd WR/FS

what u guys think?
BTW this is my first post!! YAY lool like it? LONG post haha

Re: Skins have 10th overall selection. Who do we pick?

I want a new Center!!! Maybe not with that 10th pick, but we have to upgrade that push up the middle. Rabach has to go. I can't even run up the middle in Madden 11 because Rabach is so bad. Grossman made some plays yesterday, but he can't feel the heat and is NOT the answer at QB. I saw the same thing out of him yesterday that teases everyone about him. Strong arm, quick reads, but can't feel the heat, so the sack/fumbles happen too often.

Ditto, bottom line is this team is so freaking bad that a good pick at really any position would be an upgrade and a necessary pick. Team doesn't get fixed with one draft + offseason so I say go either O-Line or D-Line

I keep going back to this page where I found your post that states this team is so bad. I think your remarks to your opinion is far from the truth.

Mike Shanahan has proven that he has a gauge on talent and can put a competitive team on the field who is close to winning games. There are glaring needs for this team without a doubt but that is true with most teams.

The pick that is in dire need, IMO, is a blue chip Nose Tackle. The guys we have at that position have served us well but you need that one guy who sets the cadence for others to follow his performance. Look at most teams that run the 34 defense and you will note a dominating NT.

Yeah MS has a great guage on talent -- that's why he gave up high draft picks for DMac and Jammal Brown with the first guy being eventually benched and the second one being little more than an average RT.

The whole team got decimated by injuries and that's why we weren't able to field a very good team. But if you are seriously saying that at 6-10 we're a good team then we don't have much else to discuss. Results matter, if this exact same team went 10-6 then we could discuss how good of a team we have.
