As for Smoot, I think he will get something that resembles Spring's contract - probably in the neighborhood of a 10-12 million dollar signing bonus over 6-7 years. |

Cartwright, which I agree is ashame, cause I really liked him, but I understand. Morton, Gardner maybe. I think Hall will stay.

Cartwright kinda reminds me of Rudy of something. I like the way he plays, I think he can be an asset to the team. The Redskins might be able to keep him around though, I don't think anyone will be rearranging their salary cap trying to sign him

I think Cartwright is only on the team becasue he has a cool football name but he is nothing but a backup remember we have Jon Simon on IR who seems to be a Gibbs fave.
I also definatly don't see Jacobs as gone he is a year removed from being our top pick (2nd Round) also i am not sure Gardner is gone either given out cap shape and the fact he is in his final year we might give him one more shot. |

Sellers, Cartwright, Morton (Betts will take on this role). Gibbs likes Gardner so he will stay. Hall stays and Dockery stays.

I think Gardner will stay too. He's made some really big catches this year. I think we need to hit him downfield more (or anyone for that matter.) Like in the Dallas game!

I think some of our high priced vets like Samules and Arrington need to be careful. We have several cheap players that are playing just as well but at a fraction of the price. Trade bait? |

but yeah a full offseason AFTER a full regular season, seeing Portis's strengths, and more importantly with Ramsey at the undisputed helm SHOULD do us a lot of good. but Coles needs to get healthy, because right now we have TWO possession recievers and no deep ones. kills off a vital dimension to our offense, not to mention a dimension Gibbs loves. |

There's not much reason to let Gardner go when he's on the last year of his deal.
Unless we can get some value for him in a trade (which I highly doubt) I expect him to be back next year playing for a big contract, and hopefully his big payday won't come from us. |

In these last three games I want to see them try Jacobs at speed receiver. From what I hear this guy flys, but we haven't seen enough of him this season to really make an accurate assumption. I still think he was a steal in the 2nd round (thank god he had the flu during the combine!)
Not sure if he's gotten the shot he deserves yet. |

Hall will be back as long as his leg problems are resolved.
I'm not sure about letting Wynn go either, he's had his best season as a Redskin, he seems to be a good fit in this defense, then again you can say that of almost anyone this year it seems. |

Trade Who?
I'm not trying to be a smart ass here. But who would want any of our players that people on this board suggest we trade? I mean, what team is going to say, "hey, this guy isn't wanted by a sub .500 team. Let's sign him here." We stink folks. We don't want some of these players because it is believed they are helping us stink. I can't imaging any team out there picking up rejects. Well, except for the Washington Redskins! Dohhh!!!

*samuels
raymer gardner kozlowski *daniels barrow ADE! lott just a guess, samuels and daniels might cost us later down the road, but i dont think gibbs is a big fan of samuels nor anyone else, and daniels seemed way to injury proan to keep on the roster. but i hope we dont cut barrow, he is a tackling machine and maybe this was a fluke year for him. |
