We just have to play the hand we've been 'dealt'. Gardner is out. McCants should strive as a possession reciever. Jacobs, Coles, and Thrash can get open and if need be, go deep. Whatever Gibbs sees 'wrong' at practice he needs to correct it. Pencil Jacobs and/or McCants in starting roles and coach 'em up. Should we draft a WR in the upcoming draft? Yes. Is that top priortiy? No. You know how we are when it comes to Snyder and free agency. We may get a guy that way.

Gardner has been a virtual no show when he wasn't dropping passes he had a stupid penalty...........Coles played hard and hurt and will be even better once healthy..worth every penny paid....Thrashes play in the last game said it all. Thrash isn't flashy just a reliable good hands guy with a great worth ethic. I can see us cutting Gardner and drafting a WR in the later rounds.........DE and O line being higher priorties in the draft.......

You guys think we're going to hold onto Antonio Brown as our KR? Would that be another WR spot taken then?

I'd like to see Jacobs be a bigger part of this offense. And McCants as well. Hope Coles gets healthy also

Did anyone notice that we went 4 wide today? I dont see us cutting Gardner, rather I see us try to trade him away atleast that way we can get a draft pick for him. Which would be much better than not getting nothing at all.

We can forget about William's now that we are picking 11th, if he look's like he could be the kind of reciever people believe he can be he will be gone in the top 7, we have to cut bait with Gardner I don't care how cap friendly his salary is get rid of him he's a waste of space and retarding the growth of player's like Jacob's, we will have to try and find a WR in the second or 3rd round's and hope we get lucky.

Thank you, offiss. I've been waiting for someone to bring us down to the planet Earth and remind everyone that Mike Williams will be long gone by the time we pick. Capable wideouts can be found in the second and third rounds.

I don't want to worry you but I was reading some article on SI.com (it might have been peter king's mmqb) saying that if Muhsin Muhammed (sp?) gets out of Carolina, he likely could end up in D.C. Granted, the guy's not 38 years old and past his prime, but it would seem to be a snyderesque move to go out and get the biggest name available to us. Here's hoping it doesn't happen...

I would tend to agree in part with offiss about doing something with Gardner. Trading for a draft pick would help us out and I'd really like to see more playing time for Jacobs and Thrash. I know Thrash isn't the most talented wide-out in the league, but I think he honestly plays with more heart and intensity than TO, RM, or MH and makes a more than capable 2nd or 3rd receiver. Depending on his performance in camp, it might be worth giving Jacobs a shot at the #2 spot to see if he's got the skills or not to play.

So what do you guys think of this guy from Michigan, Braylon Edwards? I haven't seen much of him and when I think of Michigan WR's I tend to think of only one guy--Desmond Howard

Pending Coles toe situation, I still don't think the Skins need to get another WR, other than a late draft pick or cheap FA as a "project". I could see us trading Gardner for like a 4th round pick, and going with the following:
Coles
Jacobs
Thrash
McCants
??? (A. Brown, or the guy that did pretty well in preseason and was on the practice squad whose name I forget, or someone new...)

McCants is a question mark too, but I think if he really wants to play, he will work hard this offseason to impress....especially if Gardner is gone.

It's really too early and everything is speculation right now though....

I'm thinking McCants could be as good as gone.

Gibbs obviously liked what he saw from him on film enough to gave him a new contract, but he's also obviously not been impressed with him on the field and as we've seen he's spent the majority of the season not even dressing for games.

Not exactly a vote of confidence.

If There Is A Good Reciever Out There When The Skins Pick, they'll Go After Him.
