I agree. Cooley should definitely develop into a fine blocker as he progresses at the NFL level, particularly with the coaching of Joe Bugel. Cooley has the attitude and work ethic to become a very well-rounded H-back. Royal really impressed me this year, and quite honestly, I was surprised when he was able to beat out Rasby and Kozlowski for the starting TE job. He really seems to be hitting his stride as an NFL player, and I look for him and Cooley to continue to develop into an excellent young TE/H-back tandem.

I think cooley will become a better blocker as he get's more experience, Royal has shown to be pretty productive in the red zone, but not a big blocker I agree a year in the weight room would reall benifit him in the blocking area.

How did everyone like the kid from USC Bird he showed some set of hand's on that catch down the middle for a TD against Oklahoma the other night, that catch was unbelievable, didn't follow him this year other than that game but he defiently made an impression with that one.

I really dont see Gardner coming back.. i guess he could maybe
revive himself, thats for the coaches to decide, but what we
saw of him this year is not what we want in our big across the middle
receiver.

I am not sure if you are aware but the U.of Florida receivers have a bad reputation in the NFL, which is why Jacobs slipped in his draft. Alot of it is attributed to Spurriers system (when he was coach there) and that his receivers and QB's have great success in the NCAA but that success has not translated well to the NFL.
I personally think it is not the offensive systems but the big jump in talent of defenses in college to the pro's. Almost all of the NFl teams have great players on D. In college only a hand ful of teams are really that good.

Below is an article that touches the subject of Taylor and the U of F receivers bad rep.

What is your point? You said that basically because we've (and the WP hinting at it) been talking about him being gone that it must be a foregone conclusion. Did you read what Joe Bugel said?

I have to agree with you. It is not a sure thing that he anyone will be cut or traded.
Just because of what TWP threads and the Post say it, it must be so? LOL!

Truth is, no one other than the Skins "inner circle" really knows what they are planning to do. They seem to make surpising moves every year (good and bad), even last year with Gibbs running things, and I expect more of the same this year, but with fewer moves, and fewer "big names". They one thing they have stressed is the desire to maintain continuity, which in itself is a very nice change!
I think Gardner will be gone, provided they get what they want for him, but I would be absolutely fine with him and McCants still on the roster next season.
